For a second, I’m nervous. I don’t want Del to think I’m ashamed of being with him. But to my relief, he just chuckles.

“I don’t want that either. I’m not in the mood to get my ass kicked this early in the morning,” he says.

I grin.

“Theo’s staying on a different floor of the hotel,” Del says. “He won’t see me. And I promise that when we’re around the team and at work, I’ll keep my hands and my mouth to myself. As difficult as that may be.”

There’s a fiery flash in his gaze that makes me giddy. I let out a breath and press another kiss to his mouth.

“See you on the plane,” he says with a sexy smile before walking off.

I shut the door behind me, then fall back into the door, my hands clutching my chest, the cheesiest smile on my face.

I let out a giddy squeal as I slide all the way to the floor. I sit there for a minute, even though I should be packing.

I can’t help it though. I’m so happy and excited that I need a moment to collect myself. I just had the most amazing nightof my life with the most amazing man. Butterflies swarm in my stomach. I haven’t felt this excited about a guy in a long time.

My phone buzzes and I hop up and see a slew of missed texts from Maya and Sophie.

Maya: Hey! Wanna go to an early breakfast with Sophie and me before you fly back to Denver?

Maya: I’m assuming you’re in a dead sleep and haven’t heard your phone buzzing lol

Maya: Sophie and I grabbed a table at Salt and Ivy on the patio of Aria, join us if you wake up in time.

Sophie: So sad you couldn’t come with us to breakfast! You missed the yummiest Dutch baby pancake!

Maya: Hmmm so we ran into Blomdahl in the elevator and he said that he hasn’t seen Del since last night…and he mentioned that he saw the two of you together…

Maya: Are you currently in bed with a hockey hunk and is that why you missed breakfast with us?

Sophie: *surprised face emoji*

I chuckle and roll my eyes after reading the texts, then quickly message them back.

Me: Hey! So sorry to miss breakfast, I slept in.

Me: To answer your question about Del…no, I’m not currently in bed with him.

Me: But I was ;)

I toss my phone on the bed and check the time. I need to be out of my room and on my way to the airport in an hour. I dart to the bathroom and flip on the shower right as I hear my phone ding.

While I wait for the water to warm up, I jog over to my phone and check it.

Maya: Ingrid! You naughty girl! I knew it!

Maya: I knew it was only a matter of time before you two ripped each other’s clothes off and ended up in bed together!

Sophie: Aww you and Del are so cute together! I totally noticed the way he was looking at you last night. He is SO into you :)

Maya: I want details!

Me: How about we all meet at my place for dinner tonight? I’ll tell you everything

Me: Also, I don’t want Theo finding out about Del and me, he’ll flip his shit, so just keep this between us, okay?

Maya: I won’t say a word
