He lowers over me and blesses me with a long, teasing kiss. “You’re fucking amazing,” he says against my lips.

I chuckle. “Me? You did all the work.”

He quirks an eyebrow. “Being in bed with you isn’t work, sweetheart. It’s heaven.”

My mouth parts at the smoothness of that line.

But it wasn’t a line. Because Del isn’t like that. He’s not trying to put on a suave front.

He’s honest, always. And that means he’s telling the truth.

He starts to lean back, but I grab his face in my hands, stilling him. “You mean that?”

He blinks like he’s surprised at what I’ve said. A warm smile pulls at his lips. “Of course I mean that. I’m one lucky bastard to have you.”

My heart does somersaults in my chest at what he’s said. He climbs off the bed and heads into the bathroom to get rid of the condom.

The second Del crawls back into bed, I look at him.

“You have me? Does that mean you think of me as…yours?” My heart races as I look at him, waiting for him to answer.

The corner of his mouth hooks up. “Yeah. Is that okay?”

I bite back a smile as I nod, that giddy feeling sparking in my chest.

He pulls me into his chest and kisses my forehead.

He’s quiet for a moment. “Hey, um…can I ask you something?”

I lean back and look at him, caught off guard by the hesitation in his voice.

“Yeah, of course,” I tell him.

His eyes are shy as he gazes at me. “Is it okay if I call you my girlfriend?”

I’m smiling like a goober. “Only if I can call you my boyfriend.”

He beams wide and my heart races in my chest. He kisses me. “I’d love that,” he says against my mouth.

“It’s official then. You’re my boyfriend.”

“And you’re my girlfriend.” He leans back and looks at me. “We’ll probably have to disclose our relationship to HR. Is that okay with you?”

I gaze up at Del. “More than okay.”

Intensity flashes in his rich brown eyes as he looks at me. He blinks and smiles. “So much for us staying just friends.”

I chuckle. “I just couldn’t resist you.”

He grins and kisses me. “Lucky me.”
