Page 104 of A Game Of Love

An officer shouts, but he ignores them.

Taking the opening, I rush up after him. People continue to yell, running after us, but we don’t stop.

Lillianna

I’m going to kill my boyfriend when he gets back. I can’t believe he fucking tied me to a damn bed! Is he fucking crazy?

Okay, the idea is hot. And I’d be having an amazing time if he was actually here. He couldn't have just untied me until he got back?

Laying here naked, a little cold and very vulnerable, I stare up at the roof.

It’s too damn quiet in here, so I tell Alexa to play some music.

Closing my eyes, I concentrate on the song.

That is until it’s drowned out by the blaring of the fire alarm. My eyes snap open, and dread fills me.

“No, no, no, no!” I shout, tugging at my restraints. You have got to be fucking kidding me. Of all times this could have happened, why now?

Frantically, I try to tug my hands free, only to be met with a burning pain. He tied me too fucking tight.

“Help!” I shout. “Someone help!”

I have no idea if this is just stupid, drunk college kids pulling the alarm or a real fire.

I could wait until Bishop gets back, but do I want to risk that chance?

“Help!” I shout again.

I’m going to fucking kill him! Because whoever comes in here to help me is going to get an eye full.

With each passing second, I start to panic more and more. The alarm continues to blare, and I continue to scream, but no one comes.

I don’t smell smoke, so that's good, right?

After what feels like a lifetime, I hear shouting.

“Help! In here!” I scream back, praying they hear me.

A second later, the door bursts open, and in stumbles my boyfriends.

Toby gapes at me, but my eyes snap over to Bishop. “I’m going to kill you!” I snarl.

“I know. I’m sorry. I’m so fucking sorry, baby.” He rushes over to undo the ropes.

“You need to get out of here!” someone nearby says.

“You're not going in there,” Toby growls. “She’s fucking naked.”

When Bishop frees me, Toby tosses a blanket over me, bundling me up and pulling me into his arms.

They carry me out, and I bury my face into his neck in humiliation.

“Oh my god!” Bee’s voice has me looking up. The cool air around me has me shivering, burying myself deeper in Toby’s arms. “Are you okay? What happened? We just showed up.” Jonas stands next to Bee with matching concern on his face.

“We’re fine. No one’s hurt,” Bishop reassures them.

“Were you sleeping?” Bee looks me over, brows pitched.
