Cass? Who’s Cass?I had time to think before the events of the last few days came rushing back to me.Iwas Cass and I was currently pressed up against the side of my Fated Mate who thought I was a boy. I had my arms and legs wrapped around his muscular body and when I looked up, he was peering down at me with a bemused look on his face.

Goddess of the Four Faces—he’s going to know! He’s going to guess!

I pushed away from his side and scrambled out of bed as fast as I could.

“Sorry Captain!” I exclaimed, and then tried to make my voice lower. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to. I mean?—”

“It’s all right—don’t get so upset about it,” Turk said, sitting up in bed. “We’re in close quarters here, after all.”

“Yes, I know, but I didn’t mean to, you know, get that, er,close,” I said quickly. “I should have slept on the floor,” I added remorsefully—and it was true, I should have. I had meant to—I had left the shower the night before fully prepared to sleep on the small strip of floor between the bed and the bathroom door.

But then Turk had beckoned to me and told me to come to bed in that deep, rumbling voice and part of me just melted. Even though he didn’t know he was my Fated Mate, hearing him call me to bed made it impossible to say no.

And so I had ended up in the extremely dangerous position of sharing a bed with him. Which was stupid on my part—so stupid!

“Time to get dressed,” Turk rumbled, getting out of bed. “Come on, boy—you don’t want to be late for breakfast, do you?”

“Uh, that depends on what they’re serving,” I said hesitantly.

To my relief, he laughed—a deep, rumbling sound I had always loved.

“Yeah, well—Cookie has questionable tastes sometimes but let’s hope he’s making something better thangreasstain.”

He pulled off his sleep trousers and began to get dressed. I tried not to look but I couldn’t help noticing, from the corner of my eye, that his shaft was at least half hard. Why was that?

Before I could think of an answer to that question, there was a knock on the door that separated the Captain’s private quarters from the ready room.

“Captain, I have the boy’s uniform and clothes. So I do.So I do,”I heard Snuffy call from the other side of the door.

“Hang on,” Turk called. He finished straightening his uniform and went to the door.

I watched him go, feeling incredibly relieved. So he hadn’t noticed my breasts pressed against his side—I had been lucky. From now on, I promised myself, I would sleep on the floor, no matter how seductive his deep voice was. I couldn’t risk another incident like this one.

Turk left to go into his Ready Room and Snuffy went with him, leaving my pile of clothes on the bed. I slipped into my compression tank top, grateful to have it again, but winced as I pulled it over my breasts.

Goddess of the Four Faces, why were my nipples so tender? They felt achy and hot and swollen—the stretchy fabric of the tank seemed to scrape against them in an almost painful way.

It was the same down below—my pussy felt wet and needy and my clit was throbbing. I wondered if I dared to touch myself—to get myself off quickly before I went down to breakfast. But when I slipped my hand between my legs, I couldn’t find any relief. No matter how much I rubbed the sensitive little button, I couldn’t come—I only made my need worse.

Gritting my teeth in irritation, I gave up. I would just have to try again later, if I still felt so needy.

I finished pulling on my newly washed uniform and was slipping on my boots when the door to the bedroom opened and Turk came in again.

“Come on, navvie—aren’t you ready for breakfast yet?” he asked. Then he frowned and sniffed the air. “Say—do you smell that?”

“Uh…smell what?” I shook my head and then sniffed surreptitiously at one of my armpits. Did I smell? How could I, after having not one buttwoshowers the night before?

Turk shook his head.

“No, never mind—it must be my imagination. For a minute I thought…” He trailed off, shaking his head again. “Come on—we need to get moving.”

“You don’t have to escort me to breakfast, you know,” I pointed out, trying to sound tough and manly.

He frowned.

“Yes, I do. After what happened last night, the Crew needs to know you’re under my protection. Now come on—we don’t have all morning.”

“I’m ready.” I straightened up. “Lead the way, Captain.”
