He scrunches his eyebrows in thought and then his eyes widen with joy. “No, she’s actually going out with Mac tonight. I told her she needs to get out and have some fun, she’s been a grumpy shit for the past few days.”

I swear my heart literally stops beating in my chest. Sean definitely notices the sudden ghostly colour that washes over my face because his eyes widen with concern.

“You ok man? You look really white all of a sudden.”

I stand up, my stomach leaping in all directions. “I think I'm going to throw up.” I dart into my bathroom and slam the door behind me, emptying my guts into the toilet bowl. I drop down onto the cold tiles and grip my temple, it’s throbbing, thoughts bouncing around like a ping pong ball.

Sean taps lightly on the bathroom door after a few seconds of silence. “You all right in there Andersen?”

I clear my now sore throat, the bile still sitting there waiting to hit me again. “Yeah, must just have a stomach bug or something, I’ll be fine.”

His footsteps get quieter and my bedroom door clicks shut behind him, but I don’t leave the bathroom straight away. I can’t get up off the icy floor, my legs feel like jelly and my stomach is still churning loudly.

How could she do this? I thought this break was just temporary and that we’d be back to normal in a few days. But Sean was pretty adamant that she was going out with Mac tonight. What the fuck is going on?

I can’t sit here any longer wondering where I stand with her, I can’t just let her go out with that fucking wet flannel without trying to stop her. I sink my fingers deep into my hair and pull myself together, getting to my feet and marching out of my bedroom without even bothering to grab my phone.

I don’t bother to knock on the door when I get to the girls’ dorm, I just barge straight in, racing past a confused Molly with her half painted toe nails on the couch. She calls after me I think, but I'm in a bubble and her voice is muffled by the ringing in my ears. My feet take me forward at a fast pace towards Lois’ bedroom door and I push it open hard. It bounces off the wall and she jumps from where she sits, face buried in her laptop. Her head spins around and she looks at me like a deer caught in the headlights, her bright hazel orbs are piercing into me like a pair of comets plummeting towards earth.

“Don’t go on this date Lois please,” I practically beg, I may as well get on my knees.

Her eyes soften now, confusion pulling at her eyebrows. “What? I’m not going on a date.”

My heart thrums hard, wondering if she’s being honest with me. But when I catch her eyes with mine I see nothing but sincerity as usual.

“You’re not? Sean said you were going out with Mac.”

Lois moves around her chair and rolls her eyes. “He told me I should go to this party that Mac has organised at a bar in town tonight. I told him I’d think about it…” she pins me with her big eyes, making the breath catch in my throat. “But I'm not going and never was, I just said it to get him off my back.” She takes a step towards me, twiddling her fingers nervously. “I was actually planning on coming over and talking to you tonight.”

I let out the huge, heavy breath that I was holding in my lungs. “Oh thank god, I thought you’d moved on without telling me.”

She takes another few shy steps towards me and with a sweet dimpled smile she whispers, “I’d never do that Nick. I told you I love you didn’t I? You don’t just stop loving someone in a few days.”

The shit eating grin that spreads itself across my face is so fucking welcome after a few miserable days spent without my girl. I reach for her t-shirt, gripping two fistfuls of it and dragging her into me. I scoop her up so her feet are dangling almost a foot from the ground. Her smell is everywhere, wrapped all around me as well as her thighs which she squeezes around my middle. It’s intoxicating holding her like this again, I know it’s only been like four days but that feels like a lifetime when the one person you want to be around all the time is nowhere to be seen.

I sink my face into her neck, the warmth accompanied by her comforting scent send a ripple through me. “I’ve missed you so much baby, I can’t even tell you how desperate I’ve been to see you.”

“I’ve missed you too,” her voice is muffled by my own neck where her lips are skating around, the softness of them driving all the blood in my body straight between my legs.

She pulls her face out of my collarbone and smashes her lips against mine without even taking a breath. She can definitely feel the rock hard erection that’s jutting out of my jeans right now because she drops her perfectly round ass a little and grinds against it.

“Jesus Christ,” I curse under my breath, dropping her to her feet and bracketing her jaw with both hands, tongues at war with each other. I push her gently back onto her bed and part her legs, dipping my tongue into the heaven that always waits there forme. She squirms when I take a lap up her clit, taking a moment to suck it between my lips and twist it softly.

“Nick, we-we,” she stutters and I can’t help but smile against her sweet pussy, the way her back arches makes me insane. “We need to tell Sean about us.”

I move back up her body, taking her bottom lip between my teeth. “I know baby, we’ll do it tomorrow.”

She nods, fingers in the back of my hair as she pulls my lips to her’s again. We’re tangled in each other, the world around us barely existing when our bodies are intertwined like this. Which is probably why we don’t hear the bedroom door creak open, or the footsteps moving down the hallway towards us.

The only thing that could ever pull me out of my trance with Lois would be the next words that echo through the whole dorm.

“What the actualfuck?”

CHAPTER 25

LOIS

“Shit, shit, shit!” I yell, my throat tight with panic.
