Page 36 of Catch Me

“Hey!” Callie’s elbow sinks into Molly’s side in one swift jab, “I'm a mum now, I don’t get much chance to get shit faced anymore and I dare anyone to try and stop me enjoying myself tonight.”

Molly lifts both hands in surrender and Lois suffocates a laugh behind her hand. Sean makes his way to the bar without another word and Kyle, Lewis and I cram into the already full booth beside the girls. I want to sit next to Lois, to run my thumb along her bare thigh under the table, to feel her smooth skin without anyone noticing. But instead I end up smushed between Kyle and Lewis. To my absolute relief it doesn’t take long for the girls to get up and dance, dragging Sean, Kyle and Lewis with them. I stay put in the booth, purposefully sipping my pint of beer as slowly as I can and keeping my eyes pinned on Lois the entire time. Her slim frame is covered with a satin black dress that lands just below her upper thighs. Her body moves with the music, swishing and swaying, her light curls brushing against her bare back as she dances. She glances at me occasionally, and of course my eyes are locked on her at all times. There’s a heavysexual tension between us, one that’s unfamiliar to me. We’ve not really been in this situation before. All of our friends are in the same room as us and all we both want to do is touch each other, kiss each other…fuck, what I wouldn’t do to be able to kiss her right now.

I tip the rest of my drink down my throat and get up to head to the bathroom. As I pass the dance floor Molly tries to drag me into the crowd, I shake her manicured talons off my arm and slither away from the packed dance floor. As I reach the hallway that takes me away from the beating music and sweaty air, I check over my shoulder. Lois has emerged from the group and is standing at the edge of the swaying sea of drunken university students. Her gaze is loaded with need as she watches me, her chest moving up and down fast as her heartbeat pumps from the dancing. I look over my shoulder towards the hallway that leads to the bathrooms, checking the coast is clear. Then I tilt my head in gesture to her, begging her to follow me down this secluded hallway, away from the wandering eyes of our friends. She bobs her head in a hurried nod, looking over her own shoulder towards Sean, who is currently grinding up against his soon to be wife.

I disappear down the hallway towards the already open door of the shared bathroom, pulling it closed and locking it behind me whilst I wait. It’s merely seconds before I hear the click clack of her tiny kitten heels pacing down the silent hallway, the sound echoing and sending a shock of anticipation straight to my already aching cock. I push open the squeaky door just a crack to check that’s it’s her and when I spot her wispy dark curls I grab her elbow and drag her inside.

“Fucking hell!” She gasps, hands to her chest. “You almost gave me a heart att—” the words die on her lips when I haul her into me and swallow the words with a kiss. I’m hungry, fucking starving for her and I intend to waste no time in here that’s notspent tasting some part of her body. I grip her waist and drop her ass onto the countertop, falling to my knees and plunging my face between her thighs. Her head falls back the second I so much as breathe on her throbbing clit. Her fingernails try to sink into the marble but to no avail. Caramel eyes roll back in her head, fluttering closed when I suck the bud between my lips, making her bare thighs shake. I grip them tightly with both hands and her fingers lace through my hair, pressing me further into her hot, wet heaven. She tastes so fucking sweet and my tongue takes laps up her sopping mess, revelling in the way her body responds to me.

“Nick,” she whispers roughly, “I'm gonna come. Don’t stop, please.”

“Come on my tongue then like a good girl.” I coo and she bites her lip hard.

I smile against her, sucking softly, teasingly on her pink clit as it begs for more. But it seems that’s all she really needed to fall over the edge of the cliff. Her ankles come around my head, forcing me deeper as she curses my name under her breath, body shaking with jolts of pleasure. When she relaxes and her eyes flicker open again she smiles softly, content with post orgasmic glow. She hops down from the counter and I scoop her into my chest, nuzzling my face into her warm neck and inhaling her heavenly smell. Her arms come around my neck and I just hold her to me, both of us swimming in comfortable silence together. That is until our hearts both shoot out of our arses when a fast tapping on the bathroom door breaks the silence.

“Shit, shit, who is that?” Lois whispers, panicked and clinging to me like a monkey. She quickly scuttles behind my tall frame, like the person on the other side of the door can see through the wood.

I snicker a little, but hide it before she rips my balls off for finding this funny. To be clear my heart is racing just as much asher's right now, we’re trapped in here and if Sean is on the other side of the door we’re as fucked as fucked can be.

“I don’t know Lo, I’ll have to open the door to find that out.” I whisper, peeling her clinging hands off my t-shirt and stepping quietly towards the door.

Another knock.

I waft a hand in Lois’ direction, telling her to backup from view incase it is her brother on the other side of the door. I click the lock and open it slowly, keeping my face in the gap so Lois can’t be seen. Before I can even figure out who the bare legged, high heeled person is that interrupted our private orgasm session, she’s barrelling into the bathroom and closing the door behind her.

“You horny fuckers couldn’t even last one night in a club without sneaking off to fuck in the bathroom?” Molly cackles and Lois’ wide eyed stare crumples into relief.

She swats a hand at Molly who is still in a fit of laughter. “You dick! I thought you were Sean and that I’d have to stay imprisoned in this bathroom for the rest of the night so he didn’t catch us leaving together.”

“Nah, you’re both safe.” Molly glances at me with a wink, “He did ask whereyou’dgone Nicky, but I saved your asses and told him I’d seen you go out for a smoke.”

My eyebrows crease with confusion. “I don’t smoke Mol.”

She pops a shrug. “Yeah I know, but Taylor’s already too drunk to remember that.”

“Ok, ok, so he doesn’t suspect anything?” Lois says, one hand on her chest, her heart rate still recovering.

Molly smiles sweetly. “Not a thing, but you guys really should come back now because it’s starting to seem suss. And I know Sean is too fucking twisted to notice anything, but Callie certainly isn’t and she’ll sniff you guys out faster than you can run.”

“Thanks Mol,” I pat her shoulder once and she grins at me, skulking out of the bathroom and gesturing to us that we’re free to leave without detection.

CHAPTER 20

LOIS

I spend the rest of the night trying to get close to Nick every chance I get. When Callie drags me off the dance floor at just after midnight, both of us a little — or a lot — past tipsy, I spot Nick leaning against the bar waiting to be served. He’s made sure to buy every one of my drinks tonight, handing them to me with a sneaky caress of my hand each time. At least we have no worries when it comes to Sean tonight, he’s so far gone he may as well be on another planet right now. I assume Nick is getting me another drink as he’s been monitoring my glass like a security guard for the city bank since he got here. But when I glance up from the table, the one I’ve been picking the wood off with my half broken nail for five minutes, I see him talking to someone. He’s talking to a girl, one with legs like skyscrapersand a thick head of blonde locks that cascade down past her waist. She’s close to him, too close if you ask me and I see them laughing together about something. My stomach lurches and the instinct to smash through their conversation like a wrecking ball is instantly eating me alive. But I stay put, I won’t let jealously rule me. I trust Nick, I really mean that and I won’t act like the crazy girlfriend who expects her man to never look in another woman’s direction ever again. She strokes a sharp nailed finger down his arm and laughs again, before they embrace and I almost pass out on the damp, sticky floor of this sweaty club. I look back down at the wooden table that my elbows are leaning on and continue my nervous picking of the splinters, trying to do anything but let that hug replay in my head.

“Here baby,” Nick’s voice makes me jump, almost knocking the margarita straight out of his hand and all over my lap. “What’s wrong?” His eyes are concerned, etched with worry and confusion at my skittish nature.

I shuffle across to let him sit down in the booth beside me. “Nothing, I'm fine.” I lie, pausing to decide whether I should keep this raging green monster locked in my chest or whether I should be mature and simply ask Nick about it. Would he lie to me about who she was? I trust him fully…I think. I mean he’s never given me any reason not to and that’s how I always treat people in my life. I trust everyone unless they show me that I shouldn’t and Nick has been nothing but honest and open with me from the very beginning.

I take a deep breath and pull up my big girl pants. “Who was that girl you were just talking to at the bar?”

Nick eyes me over the rim of his glass. “Oh, Harriet? She’s my ex.”

My stomach somersaults again and this time I struggle to push the words out from where they’ve lodged themselves in the back of my throat.

“Ok…what were you talking about? I saw you hug her.” I squeak, suddenly a bubble of tears have formed and I'm not quite sure why. I have no reason to cry yet. Not until Nick says that he’s decided he actually still loves her and wants to try again, leaving me alone with my heart in a million pieces. He wouldn’t say that though, would he?
