“Oh, and to Alana.” Jaxon nodded to his sister-in-law. “I hear it was you who truly convinced Khalil to sign to PSM. We are celebrating you for helping take our business to the next elevation.”

“I didn’t do anything special,” Alana grumbled. She pushed her glasses up again. She glanced around the aircraft at them, a smile spreading. “But if y’all need help again, just let me know.”

They all fell into a fit of laughter. Susan came around and ensured their glasses were refilled. Jaxon sat back and eyed Sofie. She rolled her eyes at him and spun her chair to face Alana.

“One more thing,” Jaxon announced.

He raised his glass in the air. All eyes turned to him. He stared at Sofie, unable to keep a grin from spilling onto his lips. Her big brown eyes narrowed on him while a scowl formed.

“We can’t forget Sofie, now can we? To Sofie, for hanging around as a pretty face.”

Alana and London laughed while Sofie slowly held her hand up and flipped him the bird. Jaxon chuckled and finished off therest of his drink. This trip was much anticipated. It wasn’t often that either he or London took time off from work. A vacation was just what they needed.

Having Sofie along was going to make it interesting.

Sofie wasn’t going to think about Jaxon. She was going to enjoy her time in paradise. It was their second night on the island. She and Alana had spent half the day together treating themselves. They had appointments at the local spa. Sofie had indulged in a massage, manicure, and pedicure, and she even had one of those mud body wraps done. It was getting late, and Alana had retired to her bungalow.

London hadn’t spared any expense. Sofie was certainly glad he had convinced her to let him pay for this trip. Her spacious bungalow was located over a lagoon. Every window gave her abreathtaking sight of the white sandy beaches off in the distance and the crystal-blue waters surrounding her quarters. She had never been anywhere as beautiful as this. This place screamed expensive, and she was sure the price tag would have taken a good chunk of her savings. Life as a registered nurse wasn’t glamorous, nor did it allow her to afford such luxuries as this.

Hence why she was getting dressed to go out. There was a party for guests of the resort she wanted to attend. She hadn’t come on this luxurious vacation to not enjoy the amenities. She was going to take full advantage of everything that came with their vacation package.

Sofie walked into her bathroom to assess herself in the mirror. It was still warm outside, so she chose to wear one of her new bikinis she had purchased for this trip. She chose a white suit that was sexy. The thin straps rested on her shoulders while the bottoms were high-waisted, showcasing her wide hips and ample bottom. She paired it with a bright-pink knit cover-up that fell to her mid-thigh.

“Okay, it’s too warm to have my hair down,” she murmured. She grabbed a hair tie and pulled her long, dark hair up into a ponytail. She left tendrils down at the base of her neck and around her face. After touching up her makeup and her lip gloss, she found herself to be perfect and ready for a night out. She smiled and hoped she could find a cute, single guy to spend the evening with. “You are such a whore.”

She laughed and wandered through her bungalow and snatched up her small purse and rested the straps across her body to allow it to sit on her waist. She tossed her keycard into it, ensured she had money for tips, and was out the door.

A warm tropical breeze blew, caressing her skin. She walked down the few steps of her terrace to the wooden deck that expanded to all of the bungalows and led to the island. She took in the beautiful darkened sky littered with stars. The moonwas high, and if she were a painter, she would certainly take advantage of this stunning sight and put it on canvas.

She arrived onto the white sandy beach that expanded for miles around. She sighed, loving this vacation. She already didn’t want to go home. Eyeing the trail and the signage, she followed the instructions. The tall trees that she was sure provided shade during the day created a cozy feeling.

Sofie strolled along, admiring nature until she came to an opening. There were plenty of lamps highlighting the area, fire pits placed strategically around the wooden bars. The decor fed into the island ‘getaway’ vibe. A popular Bob Marley song played through the speakers as directed by the DJ whose booth was located off to the side. Sofie took in the crowd that seemed to be growing by the minute. There were tables and chairs strewn around, with waiters serving the patrons. This was an adult-only event which she was sure was appropriate. There were couples dancing on the makeshift dance floor that left little to the imagination as to what they would prefer to be doing.

Sofie smiled and made her way to the bar. She slid into one of the empty, round swivel chairs. The bartender was currently making a few drinks for a trio of women who were together. The girls seemed to be tipsy already. Sofie chuckled at their goofy antics and chatter.

The bartender, a muscular man who appeared to be a native of the islands, tossed her a smile. His dark hair flipped into his eyes. He jerked his head back to shift his hair out of the way. His arms were laden with tribal tattoo art. Sofie leaned against the bar and returned his smile. She was patient and could wait for him to finish serving his other customers.

Spinning around in her chair, she leaned back against the bar to take in the area. Her body swayed to the music. She sort of wished Alana was here with her. They had been best friends for years and always traveled together. But now her friend wasmarried with a baby. She understood that Alana’s priorities were her family. Sofie couldn’t wait for that to be her. She just hoped it wouldn’t take too much longer before she found Mr. Right. Then she and Alana could experience the next phase of their lives together.

But for now, she was single and would make the most of it.

The girls’ gasps caught her attention. Their heads fell together as their chatter floated over to her.

“He is so fine,” one whispered loudly.

“I’d definitely do him. No question about it,” another said. “He looks like he’s got a big dick.”

“Bitch, please. He’s coming back to my room tonight. Just ignore the screaming you’ll hear,” the third joked.

They fell into a fit of giggles. Sofie laughed at their conversation. They must be on a girls’ trip.

Sofie’s curiosity was piqued. She followed their gaze to the other side of the bar. She turned slightly and froze in place.

Jaxon.

Of course she couldn’t get away from him. He sat smoking a huge cigar and held a small glass in front of him. He looked up and eyed the women who were not hiding their interest in him. There were two blondes and a brunette. They were dressed in skimpy outfits that revealed everything. Sofie was sure the blondes weren’t natural, and from the looks of their bodies, they had all had work done. Were these the type of women who drew his attention?

“What if he wanted all three of us?” the first one whispered fiercely.
