“He had Sim taken. This ends now. I’m going to kill him. I’m going to kill them all.

“If a single loc on her head is out of place, I’m going to kill every single member of their bloodlines. I am going to soak the soil in their blood, and I don’t give a fuck if I have permission to do so,” Michael says in a tone so dark I have to wonder if I’m truly talking to my little brother.

“Michael?”

“Julissa is dead. She was killed because they thought she was Symphony. For that fact, I’m going to burn everything they own down. Every family who has helped him. Each one who has been hiding behind his actions, they are going to learn why you don’t go after my wife.”

With that, Michael ends the call. I stand with my mouth open. There will be no placing a lid on this.

I would do the same if someone tried to harm my Tina. I wouldn’t see straight until the problem was hushed. I know that’s what Michael is thinking. That’s how I trained him.

“Bloody fucking hell,” I breathe.

“What? What now?” Val asks.

“Sim has been taken and Julissa was killed. Michael is about to start a war, and I know I can’t stop him.”

“Wait, I couldn’t care less about that trifling ho, but how the hell did her stupid ass get herself killed?”

“From what Michael says, they thought she was Symphony.”

“Aw, hell nah. So whoever has her wants her dead? What are we waiting for? Michael needs to set some shit on fire. That means he needs us to have his back.

“We don’t fear war. War should fear us. We’re getting our girl back. Let’s move. Paige, I need you to watch my babies,” Val calls out as she starts for the door.

I grin. I should have known I wasn’t going to be able to leave her behind. What I’m not expecting is for Annabella to stand and come to my side as I head for the door.

“They are my family, Uri. Michael has called, I will answer. I’m coming with you.”

I wrap my arm around her shoulders and give her a squeeze. My family is full of secrets. I have been training killers since they showed up on my doorstep.

Even Nico understands what we do. He froze, this isn’t for him. But Annabella, my sister, will be fine.

I sigh. “I guess it’s time for the world to meet the Donatis.”

CHAPTER 52

My Family

Symphony

My family will come for me. I will not die here. Nonno and Uri will come to help me.

I am a fighter. My life doesn’t end this way. I look around me as I’m chained up, dangling above the ground.

There has to be a way for me to escape. There are many of them, but if I can get free, I can kill them all.

Twenty-three, twenty-four. I have counted twenty-four different men moving in and out since I’ve become conscious. A smirk comes to my lips.

They know they aren’t safe. That’s why they keep moving. One way or another, they are going to die. My family will not allow this to go unanswered.

Not counting on when or who will save me, I discretely work my hands free. The challenge will be holding up my weight onceI have gotten my wrists from the restraints. There is already so much pressure on my upper limbs.

Once I get free, I can use the loose chains around me as weapons. I just need to get free. I will kiss Val for pushing me so hard in training. That is the only way I have the strength to do this. Not even dancing could prepare me for this.

“Good, you are awake.” The words are crooned in Italian. I lift my head toward the voice and glare. A younger version of my nonno appears on a platform above me.

“You are not what I was expecting. I never thought to look for an American dancer or musician. Morgan made it sound as if you were completely incompetent.
