Still floaty from the shower orgasm and half asleep, I’d pretty much agree to anything Jigsaw asked of me.

My lips curve into a dopey smile. “Always.”

“What did your ex say to you?”

Well, that’s enough to wake me right up.

I flip over and stare at him. “What?”

“Why…or how did someone make you feel like you were ‘broken in the s-e-x department?’ That’s what you said to me.” A deep frown creases his brow as he studies my face. “When you asked me for lessons? Will you tell me now?”

With one question my lovely afterglow bursts into flames of mortification.

“Why?” I yank the sheet up over my body, tucking it around my breasts. “Everything has been so nice this weekend. Why would you bring up something bad?”

“I love having you up here with everyone.” He lifts one shoulder. “I thought you trusted me enough by now.”

“Idotrust you. I’ve told you thingsmuchmore important thanthat. So, why does it matter?” It’s not the fear of him agreeing that I’m boring in bed holding me back anymore. I can’t stand the thought of him knowing that someoneelsesaw me that way. I don’t want to remember anything about Daniel. Especially notnow. “Are you afraid that we wouldn’t be together if I hadn’t asked for your…assistance?”

His frown deepens. “Not exactly.”

I trace my finger over his cheek and along his jaw. “I liked you the first time I met you.”

Whichwasright after I saw Daniel and he brought up all those awful feelings for me again.

It doesn’t matter.

I still liked Jigsaw when I ran into him at the wedding. Trusted him enough to make my ridiculous request. Daniel hasnothingto do with us.

And God help me, I think I’min lovewith him now. Even if I am too chicken to admit it and terrified he doesn’t feel the same way.

He captures my hand in his and brings it to his lips, dusting a light kiss against my inner wrist. “I liked you too.” One corner of his mouth slides up. “Well, Ilustedafter you. Deeply.”

Daniel always made me feel as sexy as a bag of frozen cauliflower. That Jigsaw found me instantly attractive melts some of my hesitation. “Even in all my protective gear?”

“Yeah,” he answers in a solemn tone. “You were so careful and caring with the person you were working on, but then you got all cute and flustered when I tried talking to you.”

“You didn’ttryanything. You invaded all my senses.” My lips twitch. “In an electrifying way.”

“Electrifying.” He nods slowly. “That’s how I felt. Your eyes. They’re like staring into a storm—powerful, beautiful, and possibly dangerous.”

“You made me feel seen for the first time in a very long time.”

He dips down and presses his lips to mine. “I see nothingbutyou.”

CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

Margot

The next morningafter the guys attend church, we all settle in for breakfast in the dining room.

Thick slices of French toast and platters of eggs, sausage, and bacon are all spread out on the table. A whiff of maple syrup tickles my nose and my stomach growls.

“Hungry?” Jigsaw asks.

“Yes.” I lean up and kiss his cheek. “Someone gave me an intense workout all night long. I’m starving.”

His wide grin borders on smug. “We’ll bring some snacks and drinks upstairs tonight. Need to keep you fed and hydrated.”
