“I still maintain that I didn’t try to weasel out of gym time. I merely suggested we change our departure.” I switched legs. “Adjust the schedule, if you will.”
He chuckled. “Pretty sure saying ‘I don’t wanna. We’ll just go tomorrow’ from under your covers counts as trying to weasel out of it.”
“Semantics.” I extended my legs in front of me and leaned forward to hold my ankles in another stretch. “Are you just going to sit there looking pretty, or are you going to do your cool down?”
“Awwww, you think I’m pretty?” He shot me a cheesy grin. “You smooth talker, you.”
“What can I say? I call it like I see it.” I sat back up, my boner fully deflated, so I didn’t have to worry about how I was sitting anymore.
Thank fuck.
“I’m just saying,” he dropped his voice and leaned closer, his eyes alight with mischief. “You don’t have to butter me up. I’m a sure thing.”
“Asshole.” I shot him a flat look as my dick perked right back up.
He dropped his gaze to my very obvious bulge and grinned wider.
“Enjoy it now, because I’m getting you back for this,” I threatened, no real malice in my voice.
I’d be doing the same thing in his position. The shorts were hilarious, and after almost a month of hooking up, we’d made a game out of trying to give each other random boners.
“Worth it.” He pulled his legs in so they were in a butterfly position. “And I still have a dare of my choice on you. Remember the pantry? I’m saving that for a special occasion.”
My neck heated, and my dick perked up even more, tenting the silky gold material comically. I shifted so my thigh blocked it from anyone other than him. “Like I could ever forget.”
Hooking up in the pantry with Jamie was one of the hottest things I’d ever done. The only thing that topped it was when we shared our first real kiss, the day we rubbed off on each other after grappling.
Unlike Jamie, I’d experimented a bit with public play in the past. Nothing as blatant as jerking my best friend off in a pantry during a party full of his old friends but sneaking away and messing around in an off-limits room or slipping into a corner for some stealth groping was old hat for me.
I’d enjoyed those experiences, and the threat of getting caught was a great adrenaline rush, but I’d loved getting off in the pantry with Jamie for entirely different reasons.
The thrill of taking such a big risk had been there. It was why I’d let my impulsive thoughts win and dragged him off to try and help him feel better, but I’d be lying if I said our potential audience had been at the forefront of my thoughts at any point in the encounter.
I’d been so into things, so into Jamie, that I’d literally forgotten where we were until the afterglow wore off and we were reminded of our surroundings.
It was reckless and stupid, considering we were still figuring things out, but I didn’t regret it, and I was sure Jamie didn’t either.
“I’ve been thinking about what I’m going to make you do for my dare,” he continued.
“Have you now?” I asked, pulling my feet together so I was in a butterfly position too.
“Mmmhmm.” He tapped on his chin with one finger and squinted into the distance like he was doing some complex mental math. “Not sure what I’m going to go with, but it’ll be epic.”
“Don’t threaten me with a good time,” I quipped.
He dropped his thoughtful act and shot me a grin. “Trust me when I say we’re both going to enjoy whatever I make you do.”
My brain instantly latched on to all the ways that could mean something dirty. “Your command is my wish.”
He snickered and bent over at the waist in a slow stretch. “Pretty sure it’s supposed to be the other way around.”
“Not in this case. You’re the dare-issuer, therefore you’re making the command. And if I’m going to enjoy said dare, then your command is my wish.” I paused and thought over what I said. “It made sense in my head.”
We fell silent for a few beats as Jamie finished his stretch.
“How are you feeling about this afternoon?” he asked, sitting back up, all traces of his earlier joking gone.
I shrugged, the reminder that I had to meet with my dad later hitting me like a pie in the face. I’d managed to forget I had to head into the city today. “Same as every other time I’ve had to do this since I turned eighteen.”
