“Nice to meet you,” he said, before his brother shook my hand, a little friendlier, but not by much.

“And you are?” Ro’s father scrutinized Hunter. “Are you the man who’s been giving Ro trouble?

Hunter clenched his jaw. “Just about as much trouble as he gives me.”

“You know playing as a team?—”

“We’ve learned to play together as you saw today. Hunter had two assists, and he was vital to the goals I made,” Ro said, with a bite to his tone.

“There is always room for improvement.” His father narrowed his eyes at Hunter.

The men stared at each other, making me a little uncomfortable before Ro said he had to get changed. He offered to meet them for a late dinner, but they declined. Ro said goodbye as Hunter just nodded, walking away from us.

“Well, it was nice to meet you,” I said. “Glad you made it to such a memorable night.”

“I guess we will see if he can actually keep this up.” His father looked bored as he turned to look at me.

“Hat tricks are extremely hard to come by, and as a rookie, it’s almost unheard of,” I said, trying not to get pissy.

“It might be the height of his career,” his uncle said, matter-of-factly.

“You're probably right,” the father agreed. “I wouldn’t be surprised.”

I opened my mouth to give them a piece of my mind when someone came by asking for an autograph. I didn’t bother saying goodbye, going straight to my office, wondering how the hell Ro came from such an ass of a man.

Grabbing my laptop and a few other things to work from home tomorrow, I was still peeved when I left the building. Now, some of Ro’s feelings made sense about why he reacted badly to Hunter's taunts.

The cool night was nippy as I walked to my car with too many bags in hand. I noticed Ro with his douchey uncle and father by his jeep. It didn’t look like it was a pleasant conversation. I threw my stuff in the car getting ready to head over when they went their separate ways. Ro watched them leave before getting into his car.

I turned on the heat as I got into my car, pulling out my phone to see a text telling me to meet at Hunter’s house, since it was the closest to us. We all met in the garage getting into Hunter’s car. He didn’t say where we were going, and it only made Ro more excited. I had a little more apprehension, thinking we might go to the Atelier.

We arrived at a building that looked abandoned just on the outskirts of Denver. My apprehension didn’t disappear when we had to park a little farther away. It was dark and if they hadn’t been with me, I would have left. Ro helped me out of the car with his cap pulled low.

“Leave your coat,” Hunter said, leaving his in the driver seat.

“It’s fucking cold,” I said, looking at Ro who was taking his jacket off showing his sculpted chest in a skin-tight henley.

“I’ll keep you warm, Mamacita,” he said, unzipping my jacket, pushing it off my shoulder, trailing his hands down my arms.

“You won’t need it,” Hunter said, kissing my neck. “We will keep you warm.”

“Fine,” I said with a pout. “But just because we are celebrating.”

“Brat.” Ro flipped his hat backward, pulling me in for a kiss as he kneaded my ass.

Hunter pushed me against Ro, kissing my neck.

“Let’s celebrate before we go home, I have wicked plans for you,” Hunter said, pulling Ro in for a kiss.

I whimpered, ready to say to hell with celebrating.

“Is it bad I wanna say, fuck it and go home?” Ro panted against Hunter’s lips.

“We are going to celebrate, and I’ll tell you when we can go home,” Hunter growled, grabbing our hands and leading us to the building.

A few people were trickling in and when we turned the corner, we saw a small line that we bypassed, walking straight to the bouncer.

“Hey, man, long time no see,” the enormous man said.
