Epilogue
BRONTE
Years later
This might not have been my best idea. What mess have I gotten myself into this time? I’ve gone and destroyed our beautiful kitchen that I updated a few years ago. This was one of the last big projects for the Amorous Bow, and now I’ve ruined my kitchen.
The Amorous Bow is a beautiful, breathtaking historical home that sits on a hill that’s a bit higher than the town of Mittenville. When you step outside onto the porch, you can see across the whole town.
When I was a young girl, I would always look up at the house and think the president or someone important must live there. I never imagined that I would one day live here with my own family. Instead of going to the library to avoid returning home to an empty house, I never imagined that one day I would return straight home to Amorous Bow, a house filled with love and laughter.
I was more than shocked when Marcus told me he owned it but had been sleeping above his law office while renovations were being done. Although it was vacant for years and needed some love, the bones of the house were sound. He bought it for me when he first moved here, knowing that one day he would make me his wife. Marcus was capable of achieving any goal he set his mind to.
“Teapot, I got Archer down and—” Marcus stops speaking when he enters the kitchen.
I press my palms to my cheeks, trying not to panic. “I don’t know what happened.”
Marcus throws back his head and laughs. Okay, so I might know a little bit of what happened. I thought there was enough time to sew the last two heart-shaped buttons on the stuffed bear I was making. I always think it will take two seconds when really it’s ten minutes. Crappers, I need to finish its hat too.
“Marcus!” I growl and stomp my feet. He keeps on laughing. “What am I going to do?! This is the first Valentine's party for him at school, and I’m in charge of cupcakes.” I huff out a breath as my eyes roam over the disaster I’ve made.
The white icing I tried to color red is poop brown, and all the cupcakes aren't exactly cupcake shaped. On top of that, they are most definitely burnt. There is flour, sugar, and God knows what else everywhere. In my defense, I didn’t know the mixer would send half of it flying out of the bowl.
“All right.” Marcus holds up his hands and takes a step toward me. When he does, there’s a loud crunch.
We both look down to see he stepped on an eggshell that must have fallen off the counter. Marcus's body starts to shake with laughter, but he keeps his lips sealed so no sound comes out.
"I ruined everything," I sniffle. These are not pregnancy hormones, but I’m sure my husband would say otherwise.
"That's enough now." Marcus scoops me into his arms and pushes a few things out of the way. He sets me on the kitchen island so that he can look into my eyes. "I got you."
"Every place will be sold out tomorrow. I just know it."
"I’ve got you, teapot." He kisses the tip of my nose before stepping back. I watch him go into the scullery, and then I hear the refrigerator open in there. When he comes back out, he has a pink box in his hands. "See." Marcus lifts the lid to show me the most adorable pink and red cupcakes I have ever seen.
"Did Joy make those?" No one bakes better than Joy, but she mostly cooks and bakes for her husband and the men that work on their ranch. Joy and I grew up together, and I even got her husband out of jail one time. It was after he turned into a caveman while protecting her, but that's a whole other story.
"She did," Marcus says. I'll have to call and thank her.
"So you knew I'd mess this up."
Marcus puts the box down and comes back to me. "Hey now." He cups one of my cheeks with his palm and places the other hand on my ever-growing baby bump. Our baby boy is growing fast. He’s going to be as big as his brother. I have no clue how I can carry my giant husband's babies, but it seems to work. “I know my beautiful, sweet, endearing wife, who has a brilliant mind, isn't much of a cook.”
I huff in response. “It’s kind of sweet that you know me so well. I guess.”
He swipes his finger across my cheek, and I see there’s white frosting on it. Marcus sucks it into his mouth. “I can think of more than a few things I can do with this icing.” Marcus puts his finger into one of the bowls of icing before bringing it to my lips. I suck it off his finger, making him groan.
“I’m good at that too,” I say and rub my hand over his jeans and squeeze his hard cock. It doesn’t matter how many years it’s been, I can always get my husband worked up with barely any effort.
I want to laugh when I think about how I was worried I wouldn't meet his needs as a silly little virgin. All I needed was to trust him and my whole world bloomed open. Any shyness I had faded away. In fact, I became bold, and kinks neither of us knew we had come forward.
Marcus’s hand slips into my hair, and he grips a handful. “You want to suck on that too?”
“Yes.” I lick my lips, my body starting to tingle. I love when he dominates me.
“You really think a little thing like you can fit all this cock in your mouth?”
“I could try.”
