They had both been kids her first time, and it had taken her breath away. Over the years, she had touched herself, imagining that it was Josiah making love to her again. Now that they were older, she was certain that it would be even more incredible.

“I at least want to give it a try,” she muttered to herself. “I wonder if he had the same reaction that I did.”

Over the years she had wanted to hate Josiah for rejecting and humiliating her. When he had said those words to her, it had been like he was ripping her soul out. Unfortunately, or fortunately, -- she wasn’t sure which – Zahra had never been able to replace the intense need for him with hate.

There was no way she could hold on to that hurt, now. He was an amazing father to Jace. Plus, he had only become a million times more handsome and sexier over the years.

She slid into the large bathtub full of very hot water. As the water encased her, she imagined that Josiah was wrapping his arms around her and covering her body with his.

Zahra closed her eyes and lifted one of her breasts, squeezing it as she sucked on her own nipple, imagining Josiah’s tongue flicking the hard pink bud. She slipped her other hand between her legs and rubbed her clit.

She pictured his intense green eyes staring into hers, peering into her soul as he nipped and sucked on her nipple.

Heat flowed through her, and she trembled from the intense feelings his image created. She switched breasts and licked her other nipple as she rolled her clit between her thumb and forefinger. Zahra leaned back, her eyes closed, as electricity flowed through her.

The hot flames between her legs intensified. Josiah’s intoxicating scent filled the air. She moaned loudly and began to tremble and hot creamy liquid poured out of her.

When she caught her breath and her heart stopped racing in her chest, she had the same reaction as she always did. Zahra was satisfied with the sexual release, but she was disappointed because it wasn’t Josiah. He was nowhere to be seen except in her fantasies.

She picked up her book and read until her water got cold, although she had a hard time following the storyline because every word seemed to be Josiah.

When she made it to bed, she pulled one of her big pillows against her and wrapped her arms around it, wishing that she was lying in bed with Josiah’s arms holding her tightly.

The sun woke her early the next morning. Groaning, she rolled out of bed and got ready for the day before heading to the kitchen for coffee.

Zahra wrapped her hands around the cup and stared into space. “I can’t keep doing this. There has to be some way to banish him from my thoughts. My fascination with Josiah is consuming me. I’m not some love-sick high school girl anymore.”

Resolved to push him out of her mind except when directly interacting with him, she grabbed some energy bars and headed out to Conner’s and Beth’s horse ranch.

Beth welcomed her with a smile.

“Did Jace behave?”

“He was an angel. The babies were all over him, and he was very gentle with them. Right now, Taryn is teaching him how to ride.”

“I know he’s loving that. He’s always been fascinated with horses. I’m just worried that he might take after his uncle. Right now, though, he’s certain that he wants to be a medical examiner. His hero is Ducky.”

“Mine, too. I cried when David McCallum died. I even watchedThe Man from U.N.C.L.E.”

“All of the good actors and actresses are slowly fading away. I’m not overly enthralled with most of the new ones.”

“Me, either.”

Just then, Jace and Taryn rushed into the room. Taryn was a beautiful thirteen-year-old who was an incredibly mature, smart, young woman. According to legend, she was one of the most powerful witches in the world. In spite of that, she had a quick smile and enjoyed being a kid.

“Taryn was showing me all kinds of tricks. She’s a real witch, but I can’t tell anyone. That would put her, Aunt Beth, and the babies in danger.”

“That’s right. I know that you can keep a secret,” Zahra said, hugging him.

“Can I come over again real soon and hang out with my cousins? I love them. Uncle Conner and Aunt Beth are pretty awesome, too.”

“How do you handle the two babies being a witch and wizard?” Zahra asked. “It was all I could do to keep track of one shifter pup with no magical powers.”

“It can be crazy some days. There are times when toys magically appear in the house. Their temper tantrums sometimes make me feel as though we’re haunted by an angry poltergeist. Luckily, Taryn is helping me teach them to control themselves.”

Taryn grinned. “Aunt Savvy, Mom’s best friend, has two wolf shifter pups who are witches, too. Uncle Rory has a houseful of people that can help her, though.”

Jace and Zahra left after lunch. She already adored her sister-in-law and little nieces and nephew. They were pretty terrific.
