It was my weekend to fly to Laughlin, and I was more anxious than normal. I had to fly into Vegas, then Jameson always picked me up from there. In the time since we’d first met, he’d gotten his own place, so we were able to have privacy and a little place of our own when I visited.

Jameson always waited for me in the same spot at the airport. When I rounded the corner, he swept me up in his armsand twirled me around. Even though he did it every time, it still shocked me. I yelped in surprise, then giggled as I threw my arms around his neck.

“I missed you,” he said, squeezing me tight. When he set me down, he pressed a quick kiss on my lips.

I smiled against his lips. “I missed you, too.”

He linked our fingers together. “Ready to go?”

My stomach was tied up in knots as I nodded. “Yes.”

Ever since the first time I rode with Jameson on his bike, I wanted to ride it every chance I got.

Just like him.

I enjoyed the feel of the wind in my hair and being pressed against him. He was right when he had described it to me when we’d first met—fast and free.

When we got to his house, we went inside, and Jameson started kissing me.

I stopped him because the first thing we always did when I came into town was have sex. I placed my hands on his chest, pushing him back. “Wait.”

His brows furrowed, concern etched on his face. “What? Is everything okay?”

My chest tightened, and my eyes blurred with tears. “I don’t know.”

He cupped my face. “Lucia, don’t cry. Tell me what’s wrong.”

I placed my hands over his, gripping them tightly. “I’m pregnant.”

He blinked several times, then searched my eyes. “Are you sure?”

I nodded. “I took three different pregnancy tests.”

His face was blank so I couldn’t tell what he was thinking. He wiped the tears from my eyes with his thumbs and smiled. “That’s fucking great.”

He laughed, then kissed me. “We’re having a baby! I’m going to be a dad.”

A small smile curved my lips. “You’re okay with this?”

“Hell yeah, I’m okay with it. I’m more than okay with it.” He picked me up and twirled me around, then kissed me again. “Why wouldn’t I be?”

“Well, we’ve only known each other for two months, and we live over a thousand miles away from each other, and you’re in a motorcycle club and—”

Chuckling, he put a finger to my lips, stopping me. “We can figure all that out. Bikers have babies all the time. My sister has one with an MC president.”

“Okay,” I replied with a sigh, feeling the weight I’d been holding since I found out I was pregnant slip away.

Jameson hadn’t stopped smiling since I told him. “I actually was going to ask you to move in with me this weekend.”

I arched a brow. “Really?”

He nodded. “I had a really romantic night planned out where I was going to tell you I was in love with you and that I couldn’t live another minute without you and—”

It was my turn to stop him. “Wait, what?” We hadn’t said those three little words yet, so I had to make sure I heard him right.

He gave me a knowing grin. “I love you, Lucia.”

My stomach fluttered, my chest tightening with emotion again. “Are you just saying that because you knocked me up?”
