After taking everything in, we put our luggage in our rooms, changed into our bathing suits, then went to have a poolside brunch at one of the hotel's restaurants.
After we ordered, Meghan beamed at us. “I can't believe you two planned all this for us. This is already amazing, and we just got here.”
Happiness and pride buzzed within me. “You deserve it.”
Nina raised her mimosa. “To the best bachelorette weekend.”
“And the best friends a girl can have,” I added, raising my bellini.
We clinked our glasses, then finished brunch before heading down to the neighboring pool. The first day was planned to be a lazy, relaxing day, mainly hanging out at the pool and gearing up for the weekend. We'd planned to see the burlesque show that night, also.
After a few hours at the pool, Meghan and I decided to go upstairs and take a nap to prepare for the long night ahead while Nina and Hannah opted to stay at the pool.
As Meghan and I were in the elevator, she asked, “So, how’s everything with your forbidden biker?”
My lips curved up. “Really good, actually. Better than I ever expected, honestly.”
She smiled at me. “Good. You deserve the best, Dee. Are you planning to fully move in?”
Thinking about taking things to that level with Ford made my stomach knot. Things were going good the way they were, and I didn’t want to mess that up. “No. I’ve been looking for an apartment, and I plan to move out by the end of next month. I want to have my own place before I start school in the fall.”
“That’s good. Don’t want to rush into a commitment too fast.”
I nodded. “Exactly.”
After napping for about two hours, I felt refreshed. Nina and Hannah had come back up sometime while I was asleep, and we all started getting ready for our first night in Vegas.
As we walked the Strip that night after the burlesque show, the girls and I chatted and laughed.
“That was amazing,” Hannah gushed.
“The girls were so hot,” Meghan agreed, fanning herself.
“They were pretty hot,” Nina seconded.
I giggled as we walked. I noticed Ford’s men trailing a good distance behind us. Shaking my head, I rolled my eyes but couldn’t help but smile. Ford’s concern for me made my stomach flutter, and I felt safer with his prospects following me.
I just hoped they didn’t report back everything I did to Ford because I planned to get a little wild with my girls.

Our last night in Vegas, we were at the pool area of the XS nightclub at the Wynn. We’d bought a bottle of champagne and each raised a flute to clink them together. “To Vegas, baby!” Nina toasted.
“Woo!” I cheered before downing my drink.
Hannah refilled my glass. “Let’s make this last night count!”
We’d had such a blast. Everything had gone according to plan and exceeded our expectations. All the dinners were amazing, the shows and clubs were above and beyond fun, and there was no shortage of laughter and smiles. It would definitely be a weekend to remember, and I’d had the time of my life with my friends.
Music and multicolored strobe lights pulsed in the air as people danced around in bathing suits. The pool was filled with loungers, foam noodles and inflatable pool toys that partygoers were tossing around in the water.
“You guys want to get in?” I asked, gesturing to the pool.
“Hell yeah,” Nina said.
We had booked a VIP area for the night, so we left our bottle and headed to the water with glasses in hand.
People were dancing in the shallow end of the pool, and I loved the vibe of the night. It seemed like it was going to be a perfect end to our girls’ weekend.
