The weekend after Hannah's dress fitting, the girls and I were at a local catering company taste-testing different menu options for the wedding.
As the caterer went back to get the next round of samples, I asked Hannah, “So what do you think?”
She pursed her lips. “It's good, but I haven't been wowed by anything yet. Am I being too picky?”
“No.” I scoffed. “This is your wedding we’re talking about here.”
Meghan placed her hand on top of Hannah's. “You deserve whatever you want. And this isn't our only option. We also have that all-inclusive place to visit next weekend.”
Hannah sighed, smiling at her fiancée. “You're right. There are always other options.”
“And wasn’t D’Angelo’s also on the table?” I asked, remembering what they had said at dinner when I’d first gotten back.
“Yes. We still have to set up a tasting with them, too,” Meghan stated. “Don’t worry, babe.”
My phone chimed with a text. Nina, Meghan, and Hannah were chatting about more wedding stuff as I glanced at the message, and a smile curved my lips.
Ford:You free tonight kitten?
Me:I have to work until ten, but I'm free after that
Ford:Perfect. I'll pick you up. Pack a bag.
My brows furrowed. What was he up to?
Me: Ok
Nina leaned over, and whispered, “I know that look. Someone's talking to a certain forbidden biker.”
I scoffed, putting my phone away. “No, I'm not.”
“Someone's getting dicked down tonight,” Nina joked with a laugh.
I felt my cheeks heat, shaking my head. “You're ridiculous.”
“It's not ridiculous if it's true,” Meghan pointed out.
I let out a huff but didn't respond to their comments about Ford. “So what's the final verdict?”
Thankfully, Hannah went along with my change of subject. “I want to try some other options before deciding anything.”
“Good idea,” I agreed.
We finished up with the caterer, then I went home to change for work and pack a bag for whatever Ford had planned for that night. Excitement hummed through me as I thought about what Ford had up his sleeve.
“You going somewhere?” Raleigh asked.
I glanced up to see him leaning against my doorframe. “Just going to Nina's after work.”
An amused smile lifted his lips. “You stay over there a lot. You two still hook up?”
I threw a pillow at him. “That's none of your business.”
He chuckled as he swatted the pillow away. “That's a yes.”
I scoffed, then thought of something to piss him off and shut him up. “Oh yeah. A few weeks after I got back, we hooked up with this cowboy, and he was fucking Nina from behind as she—”
Raleigh held up his hand, closing his eyes. “Stop. Okay, okay, I get it. I won't ask any more questions.”
