Something bad was happening too. Priest found something out about Cody that angered him to the point of calling some of the bikers over.

“So you’re the nurse who saved Priest, huh?” Nova asked.

“Saved is a stretch,” Eden said. “I was just there. Monitoring him. That’s all.”

“Yeah, and I bet you took a peak at that cock of his and decided you wanted to try it,” Mara smiled. “Don’t worry, we’ve all been there.”

“Not me,” Nova said. “I’ve never seen it.”

“Well, that makes two of us right here who have seen it,” Mara said. “And only one who has fucked it.”

Eden’s face turned red-hot. The outlaws all walked out of the bedroom.

“We can take care of this,” Slade said. “Darrow will handle the phone and all that shit. We need to know how deep he was in.”

“He’s wearing the ink,” Monte said. “That’s deep enough. No offense Priest, but what the fuck? Some guy wants to smack around his old lady, why is that your problem?”

Eden curled her lip.

Well, fuck you, biker guy.

“I’ve had protection on her because of this guy,” Priest said.

“Why is that our issue? She’s not wearing your ink, brother.”

Priest swung a right fist and hit Monte in the jaw. Monte stumbled back. Eden sucked in a breath and grabbed for Nova’s hand.

She neededsomebodyright now.Anybody.

“This is how they talk to each other,” Nova whispered. “It’s fine.”

Slade stepped in, facing Monte. “We’re doing it like this. What’s done is done.”

Linc pushed by everyone and walked toward Eden. She wasn’t fully aware of how the power structure in the motorcycle club worked, but she saw the way Linc moved. She knew he was important.

The first thing Linc did was touch Nova’s face. Stroking her cheek. Eden saw the way Nova stared at Linc. She could practically hear Nova’s panties getting wet.

“What you did for Priest in the hospital,” Linc said to Eden. “We are forever grateful for. That’s your ex in there?”

“Yes.”

“Did you know about his affiliations?”

“I don’t know what that means,” Eden said. “We weren’t together very long. He was clingy and abusive. When I broke things off he refused to accept it. He threatened me over and over, until he attacked.”

“He attacked you? When?”

“The day Priest left the hospital. There was nothing I could do about it. No proof it was him. That’s why I showed up to Priest’s party. I never meant for this.”

“Yes, you did,” Monte called out.

“Next time I hit you, I’ll break your jaw,” Priest warned.

“Monte is right,” Linc said. “Only one reason you ask one of us for help.”

Eden felt her stomach flip and twist. She begged to not embarrass herself right now and throw up in front of a bunch of bikers.

Mara touched Eden’s right shoulder. “It’s okay. I told you who my ex was. An evil man who all but forced me to be with him. Then he turns his back on his club, leaving me stuck in the middle.”
