Things had certainly taken an interesting turn.

Tensions grew as the whiskey flowed. Priest thrived in violence. He embraced it. He wanted it. Nothing would have pleased him more right then than to step into a circle and fight someone. Funny enough, having Edenthe nursenext to him was a reminder that he really could not take even just one punch to the head or face. One punch could mean another coma. One punch could mean death.

Fuck death. Fuck that.

Priest gritted his teeth. He spotted some fucking moron roughing up one of thedeecees. A backhand to her face and Priest whistled and pointed.

“She’s not yours!” Priest bellowed.

“She’s a cunt to fuck and nothing more!”

Priest scanned everyone for a second and stopped at Drix.

He pointed to Drix and gave a nod. “Take that piece of shit out of here, prospect.”

“You got it,” Drix said without hesitation.

He stripped off his blank leather cut and was already walking toward the other biker.

“Hold up!” Slade yelled. “We need to take bets! Everyone wait a second!”

Leave it to Slade to try and make some money at a homecoming party.

“Too late!” Linc yelled.

Everyone spread out and formed a circle.

“Darrow, who the fuck is that other guy?” Priest asked.

“Friend of a friend,” Darrow said. “Heard a rumor he was looking to get his transfer papers.”

“Fuck that,” Priest said. “Watch Drix break his jaw. What’s his name?”

“Breaker,” Darrow said. He started to laugh.

Priest nodded. His right hand held Eden’s right hip nice and tight, keeping her close.

“Hope you don’t mind fighting, doll,” Priest said. “If anyone gets too hurt, you can help them. The nurse is here. And it’s not the slutty, stripper ones we hire out for. Then again, you’d look good sliding up and down a pole, Eden.”

Terror still laced her pretty face. A shot of whiskey had calmed her but she was far from being truly calm.

“Here we go, doll,” Priest said to Eden. “Don’t look away. You showed up for violence. Remember that.”

“I did not show up for violence,” Eden snapped.

Drix threw the first punch without hesitation, hitting Breaker at his left eye, splitting his face open. Breaker stumbled back and opened his arms to try and stop himself from falling. Drix moved right in, throwing punches like a well-trained boxer.

“Oh, fuck,” Darrow called out. “Look at the kid go.”

Three more punches and Breaker was down on his ass. Drix stepped back and then in a bold move, he wiped Breaker’s blood from his knuckles onto his shirt. He then turned, arms out, showing off the blood on his shirt.

“Natural at this shit,” Priest said to Darrow. “We need seats filled, brother. Time to think about a vote.”

“One thing at a time, Priest,” Darrow said.

Breaker got back to his feet and ran at Drix. He jumped on Drix’s back and started to literally chew at the top of Drix’s head.

“What the fuck?” Priest asked.
