Cash is looking out his window as my dad drives us through town. He’s not paying attention to anyone or listening to the conversation my dad and Hawk are having in the front seat. Cash is lost in his own head and I know he’s gonna be the same way until Rebel comes home. Both of us have a tendency to get lost in our own thoughts right now. That’s the last place we need to be because we’re allowing ourselves to think about things we don’t need to be thinking in regard to our girl and what’s being done to her.
“We’re here,” Hawk says, his voice breaking me out of my thoughts as I startle and look around to find us in the back of Entice.
We all get out of the SUV and head inside. Cash and I keep our heads down. We’ve both put on hoodies and pull the hoods up to cover our heads in case Chad still has access to our cameras and is watching them. The less he knows about who’s here as far as club members, the better off we’ll all be. That’s what makes Hawk getting close to Fawn’s car more difficult than any other time it would be in normal circumstances. He’ll have to use the shadows to his advantage because Fawn always parks farther away from the back door and away from the lights in the parking lot. Now that we know more about her, I have a feeling it’s because she’s using her breaks to come out and deal drugs to others while here at the club.
Cash and I immediately enter my office that has a new door installed and not hanging at an odd angle from my path of destruction two days ago. I have a feeling Titan was responsible for this. It doesn’t really matter who did it as I walk in and notice everything has been cleaned up and the holes have been repaired. Cash and I head for the desk where the only thing on it remains to be the monitor for the security cameras. Both of us take seats in the new chairs that have been brought into my office and I turn on everything so we can watch Fawn coming in and moving throughout the club while she’s here. Again, neither one of us speaks because we don’t need to.
As I watch the camera feed as they come online, I notice my dad and Hawk sitting at the bar as if they’re waiting for everyone to show up. I do notice that the club is cleaner than the last time I was in here when I lost my shit because nothing had been done like usual.
It’s not long before employees start to show up and Fawn pulls into the parking lot. She parks in her normal spot and gets out of her car. Cash and I watch as she saunters up to the door of Entice as if she’s the best dancer we have here. The entitlement rolling off of her is only getting worse as each day passes and I can’t wait to get the ol’ ladies involved. They’ve already stated they want a piece of this slut. Alex and Reagan have been more than vocal about their desire to get their hands on Fawn. Reaper is all for it and we’re just waiting until we get Rebel back home before he gives them the okay to get their hands dirty.
“Fawn, you ready for your dance tonight?” one of the other dancers asks as soon as they meet up in the hallway just outside my office. Yes, I can hear everything that goes on in the hallway regardless of if anyone knows I’m here or not.
“I’m always ready. I don’t know why you’re asking me that,” Fawn responds, a coldness to her voice I haven’t heard before. “You should be worried about being ready for your own dance since you fucking suck.”
“Excuse me! I don’t suck. None of us do. If I remember correctly, the last two days you were on stage, you almost fell multiple times. So, yeah, I’m asking if you’re ready,” the dancer returns as I try to figure out who Fawn’s talking to.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. My dance is tight and I don’t almost fall. Every move I make is on point,” Fawn lies because I was told she almost fell multiple times. “Besides, I won’t have to worry about being on that fucking stage much longer. My man is coming into a large sum of money and is getting me off the stage once and for all.”
“Really? What did he do, win the lottery or something?” the girl questions Fawn who starts laughing hysterically for some reason.
“No. He’s just finally getting what he deserves while taking out the trash. My guy is gonna set me up so I don’t ever have to worry about anything ever again,” Fawn boasts as she pushes past the dancer on her way to the dressing room. “All we need is a signature or two and we’ll both be set for life.”
Cash and I look at one another because we know that the signature he needs is from Rebel. In order to get his hands on her money, he’ll need to have her sign some kind of documentation. I’m sure he’s given a lawyer some kind of bullshit story in order to get papers drawn up for Rebel to sign her money away to him. It’s probably some shady as fuck lawyer who’s friends with his dad. That’s the only way he’d ever be able to get anything drawn up for her to give her money to him. Chad would have his father’s help because he’s a greedy fuck and would do anything to get his hands on some of that money. That’s the only reason Chad would get the help he needs for this situation.
“Call Reaper and let him know what that bitch just said. We’ll have to let Hawk know what’s goin’ on too. He’ll be able to figure out where the paperwork was drawn up,” Cash says, his voice a whisper so no one knows we’re in here.
Instead of calling Reaper like Cash wants me to, I send him a message instead because I can silence my phone versus having a full conversation anyone could overhear. Reaper and I can talk later when we’re back at the clubhouse and have more privacy than here in Entice when we’re trying to hide the fact that we’re here. The more noise we make in the office, the more it will be evident Hawk and our dad aren’t the only members here besides Panther and Titan. This is gonna be a long as fuck night sitting in silence with Cash until we can safely get the fuck out of here and head back to the clubhouse where I’ll talk more in depth with Reaper about the conversation we overheard.
Chapter Eighteen
Cash
I’M GOING OUT of myfucking mind as we enter day three of Rebel being taken from Entice and held by Chad. Not being able to see or talk to her while knowing her ex has her in his clutches fucking kills me. She’s been afraid of him and looking over her shoulder for longer than she should have when it comes to this stupid fuck. He shouldn’t take up a second of her time because he deserves nothing from her. Chad took all the best parts of her and tarnished them with his manipulation, games, and abuse she suffered at his hands. Our ol’ lady deserves to live a peaceful life full of the love we have to give her as we create a million memories. Rebel doesn’t deserve to feel as if she’s going to be taken or hurt by Chad ever again. Eventually, we’ll take him out so Rebel will have that freedom once and for all. Eagle and I will make him suffer for as long as possible, leaving him clinging to life by a thread for days and weeks on end if we can make it happen. It’s only fair after the countless hours she’s had to live in fear of him.
Today, I’m gonna get the fuck out of the clubhouse. If I tell them I’m going to Fallen Ink to work when in reality I’m about to go out searching for any sign of Chad or Fawn since she’s not at Entice today. I don’t give a fuck how much trouble I get in with Reaper and the club because I can’t continue sitting on my ass doing nothing while no one can find a single trace of her. It’s not the best plan I’ve ever devised, but this is what I have right now. I’ll do anything to get out of the clubhouse and stop sitting lost in my own thoughts because everything is leading me down dark and dangerous paths. Eagle and I have thought of every single possibility of the shit Rebel is going through and none of it’s good at all. If we have to sit here much longer, I’ll go out of my fucking mind and start destroying more shit.
