Page 30 of True Me

“You don’t have to fucking read the shit, Rebel. Just fucking sign your name where it’s highlighted and hand them back over,” he roars out as I hear the faint sounds of a vehicle pulling up.

“You want me to blindly sign my name to papers without reading them and that’s not gonna happen. You should know me better than that, Chad,” I tell him, going back to reading the best I can with how blurry my vision is.

The stack of papers in my hand is thick and it takes me longer than normal to read through all the fine print. If I’m understanding things correctly, by signing these papers, I’ll be giving every single penny that’s been left to me by my parents and grandma over to Chad. This includes all the properties, the business, and every single asset that’s been mine for years. Assets I have put others in charge of because I couldn’t bring myself to go into the places my parents frequented on a regular basis. That’s not gonna happen. I might not be ready to go to any of the properties that have been left to me, but they’re mine and no one will ever take them from me.

What really confuses me is how Chad seems to know the exact location of everything and the dollar amount I have in each account Hawk and Cash set up for me. He even knows how much has been invested and where the money has been split. The only ones who know that should be Cash and Hawk. I know neither one of them would ever tell anyone else about my personal business. That’s not who they are as men or members of the Fallen Brethren MC. If they chose to betray me like this, Reaper would boot them from the club quicker than it took them to blink. He doesn’t play those games with anyone and I don’t see him changing that if it’s me that’s getting betrayed.

Instead of taking the pen Chad’s holding out for me, I toss the papers to the ground at my side and look up at him. I cross my eyes over my chest and hide the pain it causes me.

“I’m not signing that shit. You aren’t gonna have access to any of my money. I know it’s more than you’ve ever had access to, but it’s mine and will never belong to you,” I inform him, my voice hard and cold as rage fills me.

“Oh, you’ll be signing the papers,” Chad says, a cold, cruel smirk on his face as the door opens and I watch Fawn walk into the room.

She makes her way over to Chad where he stands in front of me and wraps her body around his. It makes me want to gag as she leans up and presses her lips against his. The kiss they share is messy and full of wet sounds that make me want to be sick. When they finally break apart, she looks over at me with a triumphant look in her eyes as if she’s won some great prize instead of a vile piece of shit who isn’t going anywhere and will never get his hands on the money I’m sure he’s already told her about.

“Has she signed the papers yet?” Fawn questions him, her voice full of that sugary sweetness and higher pitched than I’ve heard her before.

“No. She just woke up. I might have gone a bit overboard when I got my hands on her outside the club,” he tells her with another smirk on his face as she starts giggling like a slutty school girl trying to lose her virginity.

“I might have just woken up, but I already told you I’m not signing a fucking thing. Neither one of you will enjoy spending money that doesn’t belong to you. My parents and grandma worked their asses off for that and left it to me. There are only two people for now who will get to use that,” I say, not being able to help myself by the mention of the men in my life.

“You think they won’t give me access to the money?” Fawn questions me, her voice turning hard and cold as she steps up closer to me. “I’ll get them both in my bed again and while they’re still buried deep in my pussy and ass they’ll sign anything I want them to. I’ve got both of them wrapped around my finger and there’s nothing you can do to change that shit.”

“Really. Because the last time you were near either one of them, I seem to remember them ignoring you and kissing me with all the love and passion they have. You were shoved to the side like the trash you are and they’ve never fucked you. See, Eagle and Cash are honest with me about everything and we’ve talked about you,” I inform her as a smile forms on her face as if she’s proven her point about them. “Trust me, nothing out of their mouths were good. According to them you’re nothing more than a loose, used up slut who is about to get kicked out of the club because no one wants anything to do with you unless they’re almost black-out drunk. Eagle will never fuck you because you’re a stripper in his club and he doesn’t mix business and pleasure. Cash will never touch you because he’s not desperate and doesn’t want to have to be tested for STDs. Chad and you should really get checked out after fucking one another.”

“What the fuck is she talking about, Fawn? You told me you were a manager at Entice and never stepped foot on stage,” Chad roars, directing his anger at Fawn instead of me as relief fills my chest.

“She’s lying, Baby. I am the manager of Entice. I don’t strip and would never show random men my naked body. That’s only for you. I’m all yours, Chad,” she lies, while turning and pressing her body up against his and rubbing herself all over him.

“Chad, what do I have to gain from lying to you? If you find out I am, you’ll just beat the shit out of me. Again. Fawn is a stripper and gives private lap dances in the rooms there. She also gives them right on the main floor when she’s not on stage. The bitch takes her clothes off for a living while lying to you and playing you for a fool. If I were a betting woman, I’d bet that she’s only with you because you filled her in on your plans to get my money and plans on using you until there’s nothing left or double crossing you and taking it for herself. Did you not hear her say she could get Eagle and Cash to sign anything she wants?” I question Chad, filling his head with doubts about the skank in front of him as she turns and levels a glare on me before launching herself across the short distance separating us and starting to beat the hell out of me.

Fawn lands one hit after another while Chad stands back and watches her do his dirty work. I hold in my pain as Fawn pulls out a small blade and begins to cut various parts of my body. The sting from the cuts is almost more than enough to make me let loose and scream out in pain, but I refuse to give her the satisfaction of knowing she’s getting to me. Fawn won’t ever get that shit from me and Chad will never get another chance to see my tears or feel the anguish I’m in right now. Not if I can help myself.

“You’re nothing more than a dirty fucking slut!” Fawn screams out, spittle covering my face as I quickly close my mouth so it doesn’t go in there. “Eagle and Cash don’t want you.”

“That’s why I’m their ol’ lady and they’ve given me a rag,” I state, my voice shaky as I fight to stay awake while both of these idiots are in the room with me.

“They did not! You’re lying again!” she screams in my face as I start laughing.

“Ask Chad. He took my clothes off and I was wearing it at Entice. Unless he’s destroyed it. That won’t change the truth of the matter, but yes I’m an ol’ lady now. You’ll never get that title because you’re a gold digging skank with an addiction. Which reminds me, if you weren’t too busy eye fucking my men, you would’ve seen my rag,” I tell her as her face goes pale. “Oh, you didn’t think anyone knew about that? Well, I do. How long do you think it is before it becomes clear for everyone else to learn all of your dirty little secrets? My brother-in-law Hawk will dig until he’s found every dirty, dark secret you carry and no one can erase what you’ve done in the past.”

“W-W-What do you mean?” Chad asks me, his voice wavering as he tries to think of everything he’s done in the past.

“I know all about your past with hurting women and your parents getting the charges dropped or the girls all of a sudden dropping the complaints against you. He knows all about your offshore accounts. Including the two in my name from when we were together before. See, back then, I thought I was in love with you and never once read anything you gave me to sign. Now, I know better and will never blindly sign a single piece of paper you hand over,” I tell him, giving him just a bit of what Hawk has managed to dig up on him so far. The few things I’ve managed to overhear the guys talking about when they thought I was sleeping in the same room as them.

Chad says nothing as he rips his fingers through his hair and almost pulls it out of his head. He starts pacing the room again while Fawn stands in front of me as if she’s been frozen. Neither one of them are paying any attention to me as they try to figure out exactly how much information the club has on both of them. I’d laugh if the situation wasn’t so serious and I didn’t have a million other thoughts about escaping floating through my head.

“How much trouble are we both in here?” Fawn questions Chad as he turns to face her with an evil glare on his face.

“I don’t know about you, but that club can’t fucking touch me. They have no clue who my dad is. He won’t let them come near me for any reason. How the fuck do you think I’ve gotten out of trouble before?” Chad gloats as if the threat of his father will be a deterrent for the club coming for his ass.

“What the fuck are we supposed to do, Chad? You didn’t tell me the club was gonna do a fucking deep dive into us,” Fawn screams, getting in Chad’s face as she vibrates with rage.

“I don’t give a fuck what you do, Fawn. If you wanna back out, then fucking leave. You’re either in or out. With me or against me,” he returns, his voice low and lethal as he glares at her before turning and walking out of the room.

“You better fucking fix this shit, skank. This is all your fault and I have plans in motion already,” Fawn threatens me with a glare before she follows Chad, slamming the door behind her.

I try to breathe a little easier, but the pain in my ribs prevents me from taking a normal breath in. This is the worst amount of pain I’ve ever been in from one of Chad’s beatings. Usually he tries not to incapacitate me because then I can’t do his bidding. However, he did leave the papers on the floor where I tossed them. For now, they’re forgotten and I know I’m not about to sign them for any reason. And the lawyer will know if my signature is forged because I’ve had to sign so many papers for him between the death of my family members. I close my eyes and let thoughts of Eagle and Cash fill me as I try to go to my happy place. Being back with them is all I want and I’ll ensure it happens one way or another if I can.
