“Congrats, Katherine. Your cheating cunt paid for my help regarding your father.”
Those words hit me like a punch in the stomach. What the hell was wrong with him? I turned around to face him, but he was already getting out of bed. I missed the warmth of his body the second he moved away.
“Dimitry,” I started, but all I heard was the slam of the door as he left the bedroom.
What the fuck!?
Chapter Ten
Dimitry
Ishouldn’t have done this. I shouldn’t have fucked her. Now I wanted her even more.
And she sees me as a monster.
I kicked the chair, sending it spiraling to the other side of the office. I had to get rid of her. Now. It was stupid of me to get attached. She’d messed with my head too much. I sniffed myself, and her damn scent, still lingering on me, was enough to make me hard again.
When she’d asked for help, I thought, for a moment, she saw me as a man she could trust. One who could protect her.
But when I’d realized the truth… I’d hoped that at least fucking her would clear my mind, and help me forget about her. Instead, I craved her more than ever.
She had been unbelievable, the best sex of my life. My cock throbbed at the memory of her moaning beneath me, of her cunt squeezing me, milking my dick like she was made for it.
All I’d wanted was to keep her a little more in my arms, to feel her snuggling into me and maybe whispering my name.
I poured a glass of whiskey and downed it in one swallow.
I hate her and everything she makes me feel.
“Boss,” Sergei said, hurrying into the room with my clothes.
I grabbed them and started dressing, cursing the moment I’d decided to kidnap her. I should have destroyed Chernov from the start, instead of trying to force him to make amends.
Then I wouldn’t have met her, wouldn’t have fucked her, wouldn’t have fallen in love with her.
Fuck!
The second the thought hit me I knew it was true. I fucking loved this crazy kitten. All those emotions that had been clawing at me since we’d met, they finally made sense.
I have to get rid of her. For both her and me.
“Boss, I got news from Chernov. He accepted the meeting, but he wants it on his territory.”
I half-listened to Sergei’s words, something tearing inside me as I realized it was time. If Chernov wanted to meet, he was ready to do what it took to get her back. He’d probably finally realized how important Katya was.
And now he was going to take her from me. Because he was her fucking husband.
I hurled the glass against the wall, making Sergei flinch. The sharp smell of whiskey filled the room, but it wasn’t enough to drown out her sweet mix of vanilla and jasmine.
“Tell him I accept.”
“He asked for it to be tomorrow, but I’ll tell him to wait. We need to check the place, make sure —”
“No,” I cut him off. “Tomorrow’s fine. The sooner we end this, the better.”
I couldn’t trust myself to think rationally anymore. I had to give Katya back to her husband before I did something truly stupid. I wasn’t a man who fell in love. I couldn’t be.
And she saw me as a monster, anyway. She hated me, and more than sure wanted me dead.
