“Guess so,” I murmur.
His lips are a hairsbreadth from mine, and I’m sure he’s going to kiss me, but then a car horn blares, shattering the moment.
“To be continued.” Sebastian chuckles. “Don’t move.”
God, the things he does to me.
He exits the car, circles around, and opens my door with a gallant flourish. I grab his offered hand, and we settle into the backseat-paradise.
“Comfy, princess?” His arm circles my waist.
I bob my head, snuggling against him.
On screen, the opening credits roll, but my attention lingers on my almost-too-perfect boyfriend, observing the shadows flicker over his features.
“Like what you see?” he asks.
My eyes flick back to the movie. “Yeah. The movie is really good.”
His palm rubs soothingly along my hip. “You’re so cute when you get shy, you realize that?”
I roll my eyes. “I’m not shy. It’s called being distracted.”
“Oh really?” His fingers dance along my thigh, leaving a track of goosebumps in their wake. “And what exactly is distracting you?”
I catch his hand, interlacing our fingers. “You know exactly what.”
He brings our joined hands to his lips, kissing my knuckles. “Enlighten me.”
I turn fully toward him, the movie forgotten. “Well, for starters, there’s this really hot guy who brought me to a drive-in movie.”
“Is that so?” His eyes are molten in the dim light.
“Mhm. And he’s being very attentive.”
“Sounds like a real gentleman.”
“Oh, he is. Most of the time.” I bite my lip, holding back a smirk.
His gaze drops. “Only most of the time?”
“Well, he has his moments.”
“Care to elaborate?”
I lean in close, my lips grazing his ear. “Well, sometimes his hands… they have a tendency to wander.”
“Is that a complaint?”
“No.”
“No? Are you sure?”
“Yeah.” I shift closer, swinging my leg over his lap, straddling him.
His hands grab my hips, holding me in place. “You’re driving me crazy, you know that?”
“Good.” My lips brush his. “Because you drive me crazy, too.”
