Every Saturday, however, was actual ‘Date Night’, meaning he planned a whole day for us, down to every detail.

So far, that had involved a private night at the New York Public Library; a private tour and a candlelit dinner between the bookshelves.

Booking the entire MET for a private viewing, because he knew my love for fashion – with dinner in the Temple of Dendur.

A helicopter ride, which toured the whole of NYC, giving otherworldly views of my personal favorite iconic landmarks; Central Park and the Empire State Building. After the flight, Trevor drove us in his Ferrari to the GE Building in Rockefeller Center, where we went all the way to the sixty-fifth floor to have dinner at The Rainbow Room, with a to-die-for view of The Empire State Building – inspired by one of my favorite movies,Sleepless in Seattle. Our first date.

Throughout everything, the cybersecurity job was still our main focus. Although no crucial advances had been made, we had the advantage of surprise. Since no one except myself, Trevor, and our fathers knew about the progress, we weren’t worried about information getting out. We just had to find the rat in his soldiers.

Almost every night, Trevor came over to my apartment, where we worked hard at my kitchen island.

We hadn’t had sex since that night he broke into my place. And he hadn’t made any more advances either.

Except he refused to actually leave.

And instead, insistedon sleeping in my bedevery night.

He didn’t try anything.

But me not sleeping in his arms or refusing to hug, wascompletelyoff the table.

It was just another night for me. I didn’t have a meeting with Trevor tonight to work on the job since he was busy with theDynasty, and would probably not make it over to my place for the first time all month. So after staying in, doing my usual full-body self-care, and watching my show, I decided to call it a night.

Considering every ‘Date Night’ escalated in dramatics, I couldn’t even guess what Trevor would do tomorrow. All I could do was get a good night’s sleep and try to mentally prepare. A small smile coasted my lips as I got in bed; the excitement in my tummy making it almost impossible to fall asleep.

My apartment was dark, only illuminated by the yellow city lights, when I felt a strong arm wrap around my waist. A soft kiss on my neck. My back pressed against his hard muscles. He pushed his other arm between me and the mattress, pulling me closer. Another kiss, on my shoulder.

“Wake up,amai. We got somewhere to be.”

“What time is it?” I groaned, sleepily.

He chuckled. “Not even eleven p.m..”

I groaned in protest, still half-asleep. For a second, I regretted not making more of a fuss when he got a copy made of my penthouse access key. Now he could technically come and leave whenever he wanted. I should’ve known better than to assume he would let a night go by without sleeping in the same bed as me.

He chuckled softly. “Come on, baby. You can sleep on the plane.”

I frowned. “What?”

“I’m taking you somewhere.”

“Where?”

“It’s a surprise.”

“Trevor…” I groaned in the pillow again, eyes still closed.

His hand slid over my waist, settling over my lower tummy in assurance. “Trust me with this.”

I sighed. “How long are we staying?”

“I could have you back Sunday afternoon. Or…” His arms tightened around me as he spoke low in my ear. “We could stay for as long as you want.”

I pressed my lips together, fighting a smile. “I’ll only pack a small bag…”

“Anything you need, I’ll get it for you there.” He kissed my neck making me laugh as I pushed him off me to get ready.

“Of course, you own a jet,” I muttered as the SUV came to a stop in front of the private plane.
