“For you to realize that the three of us clearly have feelings for you, Vivian, and none of us are willing to let you walk away.”
Well, fuck! That was not what I expected to come out of my husband's mouth!
Chapter Ten
Ezekiel
I stand in the kitchen chopping up some vegetables for the stir fry while the others shower. After my declaration Vivian didn’t argue any further. She accepted the shirt Hayze offered her and stormed off to the bathroom. Archer wasn’t happy about me showing up at their house yesterday with my bags but fuck him, that’s what family does and I refuse to live somewhere else if we are going to make this shit work. The three of us need to have a conversation and now seems like the perfect time as the both of them enter the kitchen fresh out of the shower and only in a pair of shorts each. Clearly they are hoping the sight of their ink and abs will have Vivi falling into bed with them.
“Want a hand?” Hayze offers.
“Nah, man, but we should talk before Vivi gets out of the shower.” Both of them share a loaded look then sigh. “Just sit your asses down.” They both grumble but do as I say and each pull out a stool at the breakfast bench across from me and sit their asses down. I can see both of them are feeling as awkward as I am but this conversation needs to be had so I break the ice. “She wants all of us but she just won’t admit it.” Both of them stare at me like I’ve lost my mind. “Hear me out?—”
“She will never go for that, we just need to let her choose,” Archer says but I can hear the tension in his voice.
“Okay, so say she chooses Hayze, you gonna be good knowing your best friend is fucking the girl you are in love with right next door to you?” Arch’s face morphs into a picture of rage. “Exactly, not only would it eat you alive it would ruin your friendship.”
“Like the one we have with you?” Hayze snarks, earning a scowl from me.
“You need to let go of the fact I married her! I did what I had to do,” I defend.
“No, you did what you thought would help secure your place in her life. Don’t pretend like that decision was about her, it was about you and what you wanted.”
I drop the knife and throw my hands in the air. “I’m not gonna say sorry because I’m not. Should I have told you? Maybe, but I can’t change that now, can I? So suck it the fuck up and move on because I’m not backing off. She may have my name but I’m not deluded enough to think she doesn’t want either of you. Now, how about you two idiots come to terms with that because tonight, we are going to show her what it would be like to chooseallof us.”
“Say what now?” Hayze rasps out.
“Tonight, we are going to show her with our actions what she means to each of us. If either of you have any reservation about sharing, now is the fucking time to speak.” I admit, the thoughtof ever sharing a woman never occurred to me until Vivian. Knowing that these two feel as strongly about her as I do, makes the decision easy for me. These two idiots are my brothers, we may fight sometimes but what siblings don’t?
“What if she doesn’t want that?” Archer asks.
I shrug. “We don’t give her a chance to doubt us. We show her that we are united and that she doesn’t need to make a choice because we are all choosing her and she needs to do the same by choosing us.”
“She is fucking pissed as hell at us, Ez. We all left her and cut her out because we thought we knew best.” I deflate a little at Hayze’s admission.
“I know. We just need to try to make up for our mistakes and pray to fucking Lucifer she forgives our dumbasses and prove to her we will never put our relationship with Vox before her again.”
A throat clearing has us all swinging our gaze to the entrance to see Vivian standing there in one of Hayze’s shirts. “Yeah, proving that shit to me is going to take a lot longer than one evening.” The bite in her tone isn’t missed but I choose to ignore her snide comment and ask.
“You hungry?”
She rolls her eyes but there is no heat to it. “Yeah, I could eat.”
“Have a seat.” I flick my gaze to the stool between Hayze and Archer. She nibbles on her bottom lip which has me gripping the edge of the counter to keep from going to her and pulling it free. It takes her a solid minute before she finally resigns herself to her fate and makes her way over to the stool. She is careful not to brush against either of them as she sits down and rests her elbows on the counter. I run my gaze over her, loving the sight of her wet hair loose and her face free of makeup but it’s also the shirt she wears that adds to her sex appeal. I never thoughtseeing my girl in another man’s clothes would turn me on, but I was wrong.
“Can we get this conversation over with? I need to get back to my dorm. I have shit to do and an empire to run.” The reminder of what she is in charge of has me gritting my teeth. She should never have put herself in a position where she was forced to lead the Saints. The reminder of them has me biting back a growl, those cunts took their time beating me as I got blooded in for her. Vivian stood there and watched without an ounce of emotion on her face, she looked so fucking callous and devoid of a fucking soul. She was the perfect picture of the true leader of The Brotherhood, her father would have been proud of the stone-faced woman she was.
It occurs to me only now as I look at her, did she not care about me being blooded in because she doesn’t feel the same way I do?
“No.” I frown and meet her hardened glare.
“What?” I ask.
“You said that shit out loud,” Hayze answers for Vivian, sounding uncomfortable. I cringe but don’t comment because I need to know the answer. Does she feel the same way I do or am I just wishing for something that will never happen?
Vivian’s face blanks of all emotion, she looks untouchable like nothing we say or do could penetrate the armor that she surrounds herself with.
“I saw you die once before,” she says this like we are discussing the fucking weather! “Seeing you die again just felt like a movie on repeat.” She shrugs her fucking shoulders like what she just said didn’t just destroy something inside of me. I stare at her for a moment utterly perplexed and astounded, she didn’t care…
