Kenzie had fled down the Littles’ wing hallway, on one side of the communal play area. That way led to the nurseries and areas for the Littles in younger headspaces to get a more private experience with their caregivers.

Wanting to keep their chances of running into Kenzie as low as possible, Sebastian led Beau to one of the rooms in the Middles’ wing on the opposite side of the playroom. It was well away from where Kenzie had gone. Sebastian knew the club wasn’t designed that way to keep Littles and Middles separate, since many of them moved freely from one wing to the other, but was simply set up in such a way as to make finding certain themed rooms easier for patrons. However, in this moment he mentally thanked the designers of the club, as the layout was making his life a little easier.

Sebastian hunted down the first room he could find that was empty and would offer privacy. Leading Beau to one of the oversized gaming chairs in the dimly lit arcade room, Sebastian settled Beau on his lap, wrapping his arms around the younger man and drawing Beau’s head down to rest on his shoulder.

Sebastian knew trying to initiate a conversation would only lead to resistance from Beau, so he waited patiently, smoothing a hand up and down his back in comfort. He wasn’t sure how long they’d sat there; it could have been minutes, but it had felt like hours. His boy was hurting, and Sebastian hated that he couldn’t do anything to help until Beau was ready to talk about it. Just when Sebastian started to believe Beau might not open up just yet, Beau took a deep breath and began with words that sent a pang through Sebastian’s heart.

“I had actually started to believe my feelings for her were beginning to fade. How stupid was that? When I saw her…”

Beau’s voice hitched, and Sebastian ached to take away his pain. He hated seeing his sweet boy suffering.

“Anyway,” Beau continued, “it all came rushing back. All of it. How can I be so in love with you, Daddy, and still be so in love withher?”

Sebastian wasn’t ashamed to admit that the declaration of love from Beau in that moment soothed his soul. He’d have been devastated if Beau didn’t feel for him what Sebastian felt for Beau. He was also struggling, though, because he was pretty certain he knew the answer to Beau’s question. But he wondered whether or not his boy would be ready for it.

Sebastian had begun to believe it the moment Beau had told him of his broken relationship and his lingering feelings. As much as Sebastian had been hurting when Beau revealed his truth, he’d known that somehow, it would work. There was no way that Sebastian had instantly recognized Beau as his and fallen so fast if Beau wasn’t where he was meant to be. But Sebestian was pretty sure there was something else that was meant to be too.

“It’s completely possible to love more than one person, and it’s also completely possible to beinlove with more than oneperson.” Sebastian kept his voice gentle and soothing, gauging his boy’s reaction to the words.

“Daddy, I know with certainty you are the one for me. But how do I handle being in love with her, when I know you’re the one for me?”

“Babyboy, have you considered the possibility that we’re both the ones for you? That you’re meant to be with us both and love us both? Is that something you’ve thought about before?”

Beau took a deep breath and Sebastian waited anxiously for his answer.

Beau

Beau couldn’t believe his ears. Was his Daddyreallybringing up the possibility of the one thing Beau had been scared to even think about? How was it that this man could want the same thing Beau did?

“I’ve considered that I might be made to have two loves. I just haven’t ever thought that I could.”

“Why is that, babyboy?”

“Bringing up the topic hasn’t worked well in the past for me. I couldn’t stand the thought of losing you like I lost Kenzie, so I haven’t tried to talk about it.” Even speaking of the topic now caused fear to course through Beau, a primal terror of losing a second love of his life.

His Daddy tightened his grip on Beau, holding him close and breathing him in. It made Beau feel so small and cared for. He loved being held and treasured like this.

“You can tell meanything,baby.Anything. There isn’t a single thing you could do or say that would make me walk away, unless you told me you didn’t want me anymore.”

“Kind of like you told me.”

Both men startled at the sound of Kenzie’s voice coming from the doorway.

Beau swung his head toward Kenzie and stared in disbelief. She thought he didn’twanther? How had heevermade her think that?

Kenzie

Kenzie stepped into the room, keeping her eyes focused on Beau. She’d glanced at the other man and had wanted to take a second look, but at the moment, her focus needed to be on her ex-Daddy.

Her heart still raced, her body still heated up at the sight of him, and her entire being still wanted to curl up in his embrace. She wasn’t sure how she could still feel so much for the man who’d crushed her, but there hadn’t been even the slightest lessening of her love.

How was she going to face him regularly when she still couldn’t catch her breath around him? It was going to be an issue since she’d decided she was done hiding from her favorite place and her favorite people just to avoid Beau Sanderson.

Kenzie Marks was much more badass than that, and it was time she started showing it. She was done being a coward who ran from her problems. It was time to face them head on and have it out with Beau. If they were going to coexist in the club, they needed to clear the air.

She’d almost reached Beau by the time he’d come out of his shock and spoken.

“I have nevernotwanted you, Kenzie; and I haveneveroncesaid so. How could you possibly think that?”
