“We’ll probably have to test it the hard way, but I…I think it worked.” I grinned. “I remember seeing you as a dragon, remember flying with you, but it doesn’t make me want to run screaming anymore.”
Without warning, Levi got up from the floor, and in an instant, his body was covering mine in the tub, still fully clothed, splashing the water all over the floor. His mouth found mine, kissing me hungrily before he pulled back, grinning. “Thank the Gods.”
I laughed, running my hands up his back, holding him close. It would’ve been so easy to start something, to reach my hands into his pants and pull out his hard cock, but with a group of dragons all descending down on the house, I didn’t want to risk anything yet.
There was still so much I didn’t know about Levi yet, about his family and what they could do. Could they smell him on me, smell how aroused I got, like so many paranormal romance novels suggested? Could they tell that I was Levi’s mate, even without the magical stone that I still hadn’t gotten to see up close?
Levi kissed me again, and my whole mind went a little fuzzy for a second from the intensity of it.
If he really was my mate, if he really was picked by fate or whatever mythical force, just for me, and we kept up this level of heat, this level of need between us, I had a feeling he’d probably have me marked and knocked up before too long.
The idea didn’t scare me nearly as much as I thought it would.
For now, though, we needed to get out of the tub and find out how the world outside this cabin was reacting to Levi’s swan dive into Times Square.
“We should get dried off and dressed.” I bit my lip, trying to ignore how husky I sounded, trying to ignore how Levi’s hand was already on my inner thigh, sliding higher, as if he was just as needy for my body as I seemed to be for his.
“They can wait.” He growled it out, covering my mound with his palm. “I want to make you come.”
“Levi, your entire family is about to land outside on the lawn. I don’t think we can just ignore that for sex.” No matter how badly I wanted it, or how natural it felt to press my hips into his hand. “Let’s get through this, and I promise, once we’re alone again, I’ll let you strip me out of my clothes.”
He nuzzled my neck, burying his face against my skin, before he growled out, “Fine. But when I have you naked again, I’m not going to stop until we’re both too exhausted to keep fucking. You’re my mate, and I won’t let you go unsatisfied.”
Fuck, he was too hot. Too possessive, too determined to keep me.
It should’ve freaked me out, I was sure, but I’d just spent over twenty-four hours being scared of my mate. Now that my emotions were mine again, without the tainted thoughts the vampires left in my head, I didn’t want to spend any more time being afraid.
At least not of Levi. The rest of the dragons, so many of them coming here together, were a different story all together.

Meeting the Family
LEVI
Izobelle made me get dressed in the closet.
It was my own damn fault, and I knew it, but how was I supposed to keep my hands to myself when my mate was wet, naked, and in need of my cock? It felt wrong to not bring her the pleasure her body craved, just like it felt wrong that she didn’t wear my bite yet.
I didn’t want to share her with other dragons, even if at least some of them were happily mated themselves.
She wasmine. My dragon knew it, and I knew it, just as surely as if my heartstone glowed proudly for her.
Maybe if Ash brought Syrena with him, the witch could help with some sort of locator spell. I didn’t need the stone to affirm what I already knew, but I knew the power a heartstone held went far beyond just the fated connection, and if it could help keep her safe from the vampires’ tricks, if it could keep her mind her own, I needed her to wear it.
The fact that it would glow every time we touched would just be a bonus.
Once we were fully dressed and I had redone the braids in Izobelle’s hair, I took her hand in mine and reached out with my mind to find out how close the interlopers were.
Of course, they were practically on top of us.
Declan’s voice was full of his same irritable tone, as if just connecting with me was causing him pain.Get out here to meet the family, or I’ll go in there and pull you out by your hair. You can’t hide from our brothers just because you want to keep your mate wet for you.
I squeezed her hand, leaning in to kiss her cheek before saying, “They’re almost here. Are you ready to meet my family?”
Her nerves played over her face, furrowing her brow slightly as she chewed on her lower lip, but they didn’t stop her from nodding softly. “As long as you promise not to just abandon me with them or take off into the skies with them and leave me all alone here, I’ll be okay.”
“Not unless you’re comfortable.” Pressing her against the wall of the bedroom, right next to the door, I caged her in between my arms, my body covering all her soft curves so closely there would be no way for her to miss how hard I was for her. “I’m announcing you as my mate. Dec and Ash already know, but I won’t hide my claim on you, even if you don’t wear my bite.”
