He grinned. “As you wish.”
She sighed with relief as he filled her again. Henrik was done teasing. His thrusts grew more intense, and so did the look in his eye.
Quinn’s body lit up when one of his strokes hit her perfectly and the first wave of her orgasm crackled through her body. She wrapped her legs around him, pulling him down to her. He crushed his chest against hers, his arms winding around her, holding her even closer. Her body shivered and trembled, just barely on the edge of a powerful climax.
“Henrik,” she breathed. She claimed his mouth. In that moment, she realized she’d been too scared to tell him that she loved him. Her body ached with how much she cared about him.
She loved that they were sharing such a grand moment together. It would complicate things in all the right ways.
Her jaw burned with an ache she didn’t understand. She wanted to bite him, mark him, she wanted him to be hers forever.
Her mouth moved over his jaw, kissing every inch of skin she could reach, down his neck, over his shoulder and then back toward his neck. Then she licked him right at the base of his throat, before her hand reached up and cradled the back of his head as she bit down on his neck.
Henrik grunted and slammed his hips into her hard. He roared her name as he thrust one more time, burying himself deep as he came inside her. Quinn was locked in a torrent of all sorts of feelings and emotions. Her body clenched down on him, holding him hard against her, her teeth didn’t relent right away, not until she couldn’t keep her excitement to herself. She cried out his name over and over again as her body seized with pleasure she’d never known. Her whole body was tight, until it finally gave one more spasm and she fell back to the bed like she’d been hovering above it.
Henrik collapsed on top of her, his dick still buried inside her. After a few moments, he gathered himself enough to roll off her, though, he pulled her with him, laying her over him. They laid there trying to gather their wits, waiting for their breath to normalize.
“Sweetheart, you bit me,” he said after a little bit.
Quinn raised her head to look down at him. “I did. Oh my god, I did. What did I do?”
He cupped her cheek, his thumb tracing over her swollen lower lip. “You claimed me.”
“I didn’t…” she swallowed, unsure of how she was feeling about everything, “I was thinking how much I loved you and how I realized I hadn’t said anything and then I just wanted to mark you.”
“Mark me you did.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Hey, now. Don’t be sorry unless you want to take it back. I love that you claimed me.”
“I told you I wanted to wait and then I…”
“Hey, I have no problem being claimed by you. If you need some time before I make you mine, that’s all right. I’m not mad or hurt. As long as you meant your bite.”
She shifted over his body and looked down where she could see the angry red marks of her teeth in his skin. She shivered at the knowledge she’d marked him. “Definitely not sorry about that.” She traced a finger over it.
He grinned. “Good.”
She slid off him and onto her side. He turned on his side, facing her. They didn’t talk, they just enjoyed being together in the same space, their legs still tangled. Henrik threaded his fingers through hers.
“I really wish we could stay here for a few days or months,” Henrik murmured.
“I know. We need to get back.”
Henrik nodded. “I should check my phone.”
Quinn propped herself up on her elbows and watched him as he moved out into the other room, bypassing clothes, and grabbed his phone. She watched his powerful body move through the cabin like he was wearing a three-piece suit. He exuded power and strength. He was gorgeous, sure, but she loved the power of his body and the confidence he conveyed.
He stood at the foot of the bed. “Looks like she would prefer if I shifted and carried you back. She doesn’t want to use the power it would take portal us back to Chicago. She used a few more expletives. She thinks I’m starting to have signs of the craze.”
Quinn sat up. “Is that what it is? Are you in danger of going crazy?”
Henrik chuckled. “Maybe, I mean, all dragons are, but I’m pretty sure after this escalation of our relationship, I’m going to be just fine.”
Quinn wanted to believe that, but she didn’t like the voice that nagged at the back of her mind telling her there was something bigger happening.
“Do we have time for a quick shower?”
