Finley let out a moan. “You just want to keep me naked.”
“Can you blame me?” He chuckled as he pushed two fingers into her. “I thought we could go to my island.”
She groaned, her cunt tightening around his fingers already. “When would we leave?”
“As soon as I make my mate come at least twice.” He grinned and bent down to lap at her core.
She didn’t say anything else as he feasted on her core, drinking in her arousal, teasing her most sensitive spots with his fingers.
True to his word, they stayed in bed all morning, and he made sure to give her not just two, but four orgasms. She seemed insatiable for him, and he was no better.

Flying nextto his mate was one of the best feelings in the world. Topped only by making her come.
Finley was a natural. She soared, a beautiful, perfect obsidian dragon, and she’d taken to flying like she was born to it.
Ash landed on the sandy beach of his island. He heard the thud of Tristian landing behind him. His queen landed a few feet from him. Her beautiful obsidian scales glinted in the bright sunlight. There would never be a time when he didn’t long to gaze upon her.
About halfway to their getaway island, Ash had sensed Tristian following them.
Ash shifted into his human form. “Stay a dragon, Sawyer, I would prefer if Tristian didn’t see you naked.”
She chortled in his head.Would it make you jealous if he saw me?
He narrowed his eyes at her. “Don’t make me swat your ass for that.”
Promises. Promises.
He smirked and she tromped off to the beach to splash around in the water. Pride and a deep ache of happiness swelled in his chest. She liked being a dragon and she liked being by his side.
Tristian stood by the beach in his human form on the other side and Ash approached him.
“Everything all right?”
Tristian scoffed, “Hardly. Thanks to Marcus and the rest of the conclave, I’ve been banished from the Opal Clan, which is hardly unexpected or undeserved.”
“You don’t deserve to be banished. Grey made you do those horrible things. I watched you kill my parents, and I don’t think you should be banished.” For the first time, he knew he’d forgiven Tristian truly. It wasn’t his fault. Tristian was just as much a victim as Ash, his siblings, and the entire Tourmaline Clan were.
Tristian’s jaw tightened. He turned his head and met Ash’s gaze full on. Tears brimmed in the man’s eyes. “I will never forget what you have done for me. I am at your service until I am opal stones.”
Ash clapped his hand onto Tristian’s shoulder. “We’re going to make all of this right. We’ll stop Grey. I just haven’t figured out how yet. I need your help.”
Tristian squeezed his eyes shut. “I need to find my mate. She’s at the mercy of Grey. I know she’s still alive, I can feel it.”
“I swear to you, I’ll do everything in my power to help you bring her home,” Ash said.
Tristian nodded. “At least my heartstone is protecting her. It’s not much, but it’s something.”
“It meant everything when it was important for me and Finley. It will do the same for you and your mate.”
“I haven’t given you a proper apology. Not for the damage of your clan. The murder of your parents. Your mate and her sister. I am so sorry to have been part of Grey’s madness.”
Ash’s hand on Tristian’s shoulder tightened. “I know. I know. You have my forgiveness though I don’t think you need it. You need to forgive yourself, man. You did the best you could. You fought a vampire with all sorts of knowledge and power. He’s using dead dragons to make spells that no one saw coming. Dragon Fire is only the beginning of what he’s going to bring down on us. We’ll figure it out, Tristian, I promise.”
Tristian nodded slowly. “Your mate makes a beautiful dragon. I had no idea…she’s an obsidian, isn’t she?”
Ash sighed. “I believe so. The records of old are scattered across the globe, and the elder dragons refuse to give up the information. Old bastards. The females have all but disappeared and the elders refuse to do anything. I don’t know what I was thinking before all this happened. Blinded by duty and honor. I’m fucking done. The fates have deemed us worthy to have mates even after all our stupidity of trusting the elders and their old ways. I’m done. Marcus and the conclave can have their stupid traditions and old ways of thinking, but they would have the entire dragon race wiped out before they decided to change.”
