Chapter 35
Phoenix
“Alright,” I say, holding the luge steady with both hands. “Get in and sit towards the front. I’ll get in behind you.”
“We’re both getting in this one?” She asks, setting one foot into the luge followed by the other before sitting at the front like I instructed.
“It’s safer,” The lie rolls stiffly off my tongue but, mercifully, she buys it.
“Okay, I’m in!” She says, leaning forward to leave me room so I can get on behind her.
I climb in and settle in with one leg on either side of hers. Every inch of her legs, from her hips down to her ankles, is glued to mine. The warmth from her body burns through the layers of fabric even in these frigid temperatures.
We’re sitting at the top of Blind Hill, poised to go down for our first ride. Bizarrely, we’re alone except for a couple of other groups. They’re sufficiently far away that it feels like it’s just the two of us out here.
“Now lean back against me.” I instruct, pressing her shoulders down towards me until her back is flat against my torso.
Holding her like this feels illegal; nothing else that makes the adrenaline pump in my veins and heart thrash in my chest like this has avoided strict regulation by the government.
Her head rests against my shoulder and when I ask her if she’s ready, she tilts her face up to look at me.
“Ready.” She says with a smile.
I grab the rope, press a gloved hand into the snowy ground and push us off the flat edge and down the hill.
She screams as we go hurtling down. We’re heavier than the last time we did this as kids, so we’re going twice as fast.
Her hands clutch each of my thighs right above the knee, her nails digging into my flesh through the fabric in a way that raises the hairs on the back of my neck and gets my cock hard.
I don’t know if she’s screaming in fear or exhilaration, if she’s hating this or loving it, but I find that I desperately need to know the answer.
We reach the bottom of the hill in less than twenty seconds and I’m about to ask her when ebullient laughter erupts from her lips. She looks up at me, her eyes sparkling, her cheeks rosy, her grin wide and I have this overpowering need to kiss her.
I want to bring my mouth down against hers and kiss her savagely until she shoves me off, desperate for a gasp of oxygen.
“That was amazing,” she exclaims, her breaths coming quickly. “Can we do it again?”
The answer is yes. “Ask me nicely.”
“Please,” she says, without hesitating.
A pleased rumble sounds in my chest and I know she feels it against her back. “I like it when you do what I say.”
She hops out of the luge and extends a hand to help me up. “Come on, slow poke. Unless you need a moment to calm your heart rate before we go again? Maybe you were scared?”
Before she has time to even blink, I’m out of the luge, grabbing her by the back of her neck and pulling her against me.
“It’s cute that you think you can goad me.” I whisper, my lips pressed in her hair near her ear. “Just remember that I haven’t had you in a week and your teasing only makes my cock harder. It’s throbbing with the need to take you like an animal as is. Continue like this and you’ll regret every word once I get you alone.”
She ducks out of my loose hold and walks backward towards the slope. “Do you promise?” She asks cheekily before turning around and starting to run up the hill.
She’s going to be the death of me.
That much became clear when she left me tied to that chair. I was furious about being submitted and trapped, but it paled in comparison to watching her walk away and not being able to do a single fucking thing about it.
I thought she might come to her senses and realize that she’d thrown a tantrum over nothing, but when days passed without a word from her, the darkness took over.
It was immovable, a dark, thunderous cloud that I couldn’t shake, not until I took over Bellamy’s FaceTime.
