Answering the call, I asked, “Declan, what’s going on?”
“You plotted out that trip through the Louisiana Bayou and avoided the game wardens. Think you can do that again for me?”
“I can, but I gotta have all the info. You cool with that?” I asked him.
“Yeah, when can you make the ride?” he asked.
My eyes went toward Sutton’s door and the way she saw me sitting there and closed the door.
“I’ll ride out once I speak to Asher.” Once we hung up, I called Asher, and he answered on the third ring.
I rode out half an hour later and headed to Alabama.
With Trigger at my side.
Not knowing that a storm was brewing and I would need my anchor to keep me steady.
Chapter 6
Irish
It was four days later, our bikes were eating up the open road headed for home when my phone rang, and thankfully, I had a Bluetooth helmet, answering the call, I said, “Yo?”
Asher’s voice came through, and he asked, “Where are you?”
I thought about it and said, “About half an hour or so from the clubhouse, what’s going on?”
“I don’t care about any laws you break, get your ass here. Now.” Then he hung up.
I nodded, then signaled to Trigger, and together we sped toward the clubhouse.
Making it there in fifteen minutes.
On the way there, I had no idea what was awaiting me.
My first thought was if anyone fucked with Sutton, I would be adding more souls to my calling card.
My second thought was someone had messed with Adeline, Gabby, Stella, or even Chloe.
But then I nixed all of those.
If someone had messed with any of those women, they wouldn’t be calling me asking where I was.
No, they’d be handling the situation.
But of all the scenarios that went through my head, nothing could have prepared me for what was really waiting for me at the clubhouse.
Chapter 7
Sutton
I was still feeling murderous towards that man, and I couldn’t calm down.
But what choice did I fucking have.
He wasn’t mine.
Even though I wanted him to be.
