“I’m not going to last. I’ve dreamed of this for too long.”
She nodded, agreeing with his sentiment, as he notched himself at her entrance. His initial push had her clenching because he felt too good. Heat swept through her. She’d never built this fast ever and she wanted to hold off. To savor their first time together. Her last first time with the man she loved with every breath of her being.
Cruise gazed into her eyes as he moved slowly, thrusting each time a little deeper and claiming every inch of her. She’d never felt so loved and so worshipped in her life.
She moaned and grasped his shoulders as he moved within her, then coasted over when his lips claimed hers. Cruise planted himself deep, yelling her name as he followed her over. She’d given her body to the man she’d loved and for the first time in years, all was right in her world.
Chapter Eight
Aweek later, Cruise was fighting not to throw up in the orchard. He’d waited long enough that he wanted it to be special. Snow had fallen and the orchard looked beautiful. He’d chosen the apple tree part of the orchard because it was already decorated. The Christmas lights strung through the trees and poles that they’d put up had the area looking like a fairytale. At least that’s what all the women had said when he asked their help in planning.
He had a ring in his pocket and her cut in a box that Phoebe was holding for him at the stage. After Beth dropped her off here, he and Willa would take the sleigh through the trees. He only hoped he didn’t screw it up. He wasn’t much of a singer so he’d asked a couple of the ones who were to provide some music.
Slice patted his shoulder. “You’ve got this. Beth texted she’s almost here so I’ll head over to the stage. I’m happy for you.”
Cruise turned, pulling Slice in and pounding his back. They’d made it back and although not quite whole, they were on their way. Now, Cruise was getting his happily ever after.
He shifted from foot to foot more nervous then he’d ever been. He was positive Willa would say yes but he wanted it to be perfect. The proposal was the official start of their life together. He’d never been a sentimental guy before but with Willa, he wanted it all for both of them.
Beth pulled in near the sleigh with Willa. Willa had her dark hair down around her shoulders with loose curls. He thought Willa was beautiful without makeup but he had to admit her darkened lips and gorgeous eyes highlighted had him wanting his woman alone. He walked closer to hold out a hand to help her out of the ATV.
“Willa, you look gorgeous.”
The blush on her cheeks at his words had him smiling. “Thanks, Beth.”
Beth nodded and pulled away, leaving them alone in the quiet, still night. The twinkling lights highlighted her face. He couldn’t wait another second, tugging her close and capturing her lips.
The light scent she favored reminded him, she was his. The woman he could always come home to. He could spend hours devouring her lips. Reluctantly pulling away, though he’d rather ravish her right where they stood, he led her to the sleigh. He’d planned everything out to say once they reached the proposal area but he’d forgotten about what they could talk about while on the sleigh. He was so nervous, he had sweat trickling down his neck in December. the s
Willa tilted her head down so Cruise wouldn’t see her grin. He’d swept her senses away with his kiss and then loaded them into the sleigh. His foot was tapping along the floorboard. She shouldn’t find the fact he was nervous so funny but he was so in command in the military and when dealing with the MC members.
This last week, she’d seen the Enforcer part of his personality. They’d added a couple new prospects who had deeply disappointed him. Listening to him get after them, she’d been impressed they hadn’t quit afterwards. Of course, it had been about them not protecting where they were guarding and Cruise took the protection of the MC very seriously, as he should.
The part she and, she was sure, the prospects had found so scary was Cruise didn’t yell. He never raised his voice but the inflections as he’d calmly explained what he would do to them if they screwed up again had sent shivers down her spine. She’d been surprised they hadn’t run from the room when he finished.
Of course, she’d needed to reward her man for taking care of them. She’d asked him where they could find a quiet place because she’d wanted to taste him. He’d had them out the door and at the house they were staying in under five minutes. Then she’d proceeded to make sure he lost his mind as she licked and sucked every inch of his cock until he came.
She’d never been in a relationship where she wanted her man and it didn’t matter who was around. Cruise could make her loseher mind. Although his name on his official paperwork is Jason, he would always be Cruise to her. It’s what she’d called him in the military and it was what she’d called out when she pretended he was lying beside her after she’d left the military.
She leaned over and laid her head on Cruise’s shoulder. His arm wrapped around her.
“The orchard is beautiful with the hanging lights and the snow on the ground. I bet it’s beautiful in the summer and fall with the green leaves and the apples on the tree.”
Cruise dropped a kiss on her hair.
“Yes, Slice and I were here in time for picking season last year. Everybody helps. Besides selling to local places, everyone helped peel and slice apples for all the things that were made.”
The warmth of Cruise’s arm around her and the blanket he’d laid on their legs made her feel like she was in a winter wonderland.
“What recipes?”
“Applesauce, apple butter, apple jam. The diner uses a lot of applesauce because they have a hot applesauce cake they make. Slice turned his mouth red with the cinnamon apple rings because he ate so many.”
She smiled at the glee in her man’s voice. “It sounds perfect. I can’t wait to experience it this year.”
Cruise turned the sleigh to go around the edge of the trees and she saw a group of people waiting for them. Although how they’d stayed quiet, she wasn’t sure. The men of the MC were gathered along with all the women who brought her into their fold this week. Even all the kids were hanging around. Phoebe was smiling and waving at her.
Willa had fallen in love with all the kids when she’d gone to Sarah’s to decorate sugar cookies. Phoebe had made sure Willa knew the best way to make Santa’s beard fluffy on a cookie. In such a short time, she’d found a home.
