When he finally settled between her legs, she whimpered and slid her fingers into his hair, grasping him. When he blew on her sweet clit, she growled and pressed his face closer. Fine, he’d tortured her enough. He had his first taste of Lexi and slid his fingers into her heated sex. He was making her come before he got inside her. Hearing Lexi’s moans as he tasted her and drove her higher had him working not to come yet. When Lexi shook with her orgasm, he slid a condom on and moved up her body. When her eyes opened, he waited until she nodded she was ready, then he thrust in. He’d waited what seemed like a lifetime for this.

Lexi slid her hands up around Drew’s back as he thrust in. She was so wet he slid right in. Feeling him inside her was something she’d thought wouldn’t ever happen. Drew wasn’t a monster-sized cock like some of the books described but he was perfect for her, filling her. Touching each spot until she couldn’t think of anything but him and how he made her feel.

He groaned, “Fuck, Lexi. You feel so good with your pussy clutching my cock. How am I supposed to last when you feel like this?”

She slid her legs up and clasped his hips, smiling up at Drew’s face. He groaned again at the different angle.

“Minx,” he muttered.

Although over the years, she’d been sad about leaving him in high school, she knew this, with him, was more than a high school crush. They were exactly where they were supposed to be. His lips tugging on her nipple, then nipping had heat flaring through her.

The groan of male satisfaction as Drew thrust in and out sent shivers down her spine. She grasped his shoulders, meeting each thrust with her hips until everything coalesced and she came apart.

Drew shouted as he followed her. His warm chest and body covered her. He held her for a little bit then moved off her, dropping a kiss on her shoulder as he got up.

“Let me take care of this.”

She watched his butt as he walked away, his muscles flexing in his thighs and butt. Who knew he’d become a cover model? She listened to water running in the bathroom, then Drew walked out carrying a washcloth.

He grinned, putting one knee on the bed. He ruffled her curls between her legs, then tugged her legs open. He cleaned her with the warmed washcloth.

“There’s a benefit to me reading romance novels. I believe I know what your expectations are,” he said.

Lexi smiled and shook her head at his tone.Yep, she’d gotten it all with him: looks, personality, and a cinnamon roll boyfriend who worshipped her.Now if she could get the happily ever after. She was honestly petrified of what her brother might do. If he was willing to hurt or kill their mother, he’d lost all sense of boundaries.

Drew took the washcloth back to the bathroom, then turned off the light. He walked around the bed and raised the cover, crawling in beside her. He slid his arm under her head, pulling her to lay on his shoulder.

“I can’t let you go to sleep until I get my grade. I can’t deliver a less than perfect performance. So what’s my grade, Lexi?”

She chuckled and turned her head to kiss his jaw, his beard tickling her lips.

“Is there an A plus plus plus on the scale?” she asked.

His arms tightened, hugging her close.

“I love you, Lexi. I want our life together, so I’ll do whatever it takes to have it. Are you okay with that?” Drew asked.

She thought he was asking if she was okay killing her brother. She wasn’t okay with targeting him and a sniper taking him out. She was fine with defending her mom and the property.

“I love you too, Drew. I know he might not survive. My preference would be for him to go to jail, but I need Mom to be safe.”

Drew’s chest moved under her cheek as he breathed deep.

“That’s my goal too, Lexi, but I’m not letting him hurt you or Maureen. Now, let’s go to sleep so we can be fresh for planning and the drive tomorrow.”

Lexi relished Drew’s arms around her, keeping her safe. She’d deal with whatever they faced, but for now, she was going to enjoy her man’s arms around her.

Chapter Ten

Booker kissed Lexi on the cheek and then headed out with the guys to check the property. They’d driven onto the ranch property right after lunch. By the time they’d unloaded, had supper, and met the ranch hands, it was almost dark.

They’d loaded up with flashlights and coats to check the areas close to the house. They’d wait until tomorrow to go farther out. They’d already identified the need to add secondary gates overthe bridge to the house. Someone could still come toward the house from another direction, but it would make it harder to bring a vehicle through the front gates and to the house.

Booker marveled at how large the area with the ranch house and surrounding buildings was. They’d driven over a bridge with a running creek beneath it. The large, sprawling ranch house was to the right and had a covered wrap-around porch. The porch had landscaping around it that was bare of branches right now. Although the area had snow earlier in the week, it had warmed up enough to melt it all. Now, it was just cold.

Nestled behind the ranch house was a large, plowed area that Lexi had indicated became their garden in the summer. A huge Morton building was behind that. It was larger than Bluff Creek’s gym, which was saying something. It contained a place for Lexi’s RV to be stored along with a couple of ATVs, a tractor, and a riding lawn mower. The back corner of the barn had a large pool table and a small kitchen. The loft area of the Morton building had two bunk rooms with a common area and kitchen between them. It was designed for when the farm needed extra help but was empty right now. Another building behind the Morton building stored the hay baler along with other farm equipment and had an area set up to work on the equipment.

Across from the Morton building was a barn that included stalls for horses. A riding and exercise corral for the horses was attached to the building. Maureen ran a small herd of cattle, and they were currently in a pasture farther away from the house. Lexi had also pointed out to the guys the pickups that belonged to the ranch. The hands drove them when needed but they were available for any of them to use.
