Page 31 of My Omega's Dream

Aiden tells a joke, making everyone at the table laugh. For a moment, I just take him in. This is the alpha my mother wanted for me for so long. Sure, he’s handsome with his curly blond hair, thick shoulders, muscular body, and a bright smile. He has piercing green eyes and a near permanent five o-clock shadow. Most omegas would swoon, but despite all that, he doesn’t hold a candle to Frost. Plus, Aiden doesn’t have a single tattoo or piercing!

Reaching under the table, I grab Ellie’s hand. “Thank you for the early Christmas gift,” I whisper to her. “You had no idea it would bring me all of this, but even so,thank you.”

Ellie looks between me and Frost, her eyes soft. “It’s what you deserve. But next year, I expect you to find me an alpha of my own.”

I chuckle and the sound is wet even to my own ears. I clear my throat, trying to keep myself from crying at the dinner table. “You got it.”

I do my best to dry my tears and enjoy Christmas dinner with my family. Frost’s hand on my thigh is a steady warmth, keeping me grounded. We finish eating, exchange gifts, and somehow in the blink of an eye, everyone is getting ready to leave.

My mother and father are the first ones out the door. Just before they leave, Mom pulls me aside and hugs me tight.

“I just wanted you to know that I couldn’t be happier for you,” she breathes out, cupping my face between her palms. Her eyes begin to water and, oh gods, if she doesn’t stop she’s going to make me cry as well!

“Thanks, Mom.”

“I know I was on your case about Aiden,” she says softly, making sure the others can’t hear. “But it was only because I didn’t want you to be alone. Frost is wonderful, sweetheart, and I can already see how much he adores you. I might have tried to push you but I’m glad you stood your ground and foundyouralpha.”

She leans down and kisses my forehead before she heads out the door with Dad. I wipe my face as best as I can, feeling warm and loved and just a tiny bit smug. I’m so glad I’ll never have to listen to my mother try to match me with an alpha again because I’ve found the perfect alpha for me.

“Thank you for having me,” Aiden says as he puts his jacket on. “It was a pleasure to meet you, Frost. Our pack has been in need of someone like you. We can talk about all the details after Christmas but I just want you to know that you’re more than welcome here. As pack alpha, I’m giving you the green light to officially join, if that’s something you want.”

“Oh,” Frost says, looking at me in surprise. I nod my head encouragingly and his face lights up with a smile that steals my breath. “Okay. Yeah. I’m very interested. Thank you, Aiden.”

“No, thankyou. We need a handyman around.” Then Aiden softly adds, “and it’s really nice to see Avery so happy.”

Frost puts his hand on my lower back. “I’m glad he’s happy. I’m really happy too.”

“Good. That’s all a pack alpha could hope for. You guys enjoy the rest of your Christmas, okay?”

We give my mom and dad hugs until it’s just me, Frost, and Ellie alone. She goes to the kitchen, intent on washing the dishes despite this not even being her house. Why is she like this?

“Don’t even try arguing! You’re pregnant and need to rest!”

I roll my eyes. “I’m like a month pregnant, Ellie! I can still clean!”

“I hate to vote against you, baby, but I’m with Ellie on this one,” Frost says with a wince. Ellie blows a raspberry in my direction as she flounces off to the kitchen.

“Traitors,” I murmur under my breath, “I’m surrounded by traitors.”

I prop myself up onto the counter, swinging my feet as Ellie and Frost clean the kitchen together. My insides warm as I watch them, overwhelmed with how Frost fits in with us all. I’ve known him for around a month but already, I can’t imagine ever going back to how it was before he was here. There’s a Frost shaped hole inside my heart and without him, I would be left feeling empty.

Ellie finishes up the cleaning. She stops to give me a giant hug, a wet kiss on the cheek, and the promise of seeing her again tomorrow.

I turn towards Frost and raise my brow. “Are you tired?”

He yawns in response. “A bit. It took a lot out of me to meet everyone. That went well, right?” Frost looks at me and I nod, giving him a soft smile. “Sorry, you asked a question. I’m losing focus. Why? Did you have something in mind?”

My heart skips a beat and I can feel my cheeks start to flush. My body warms, tingles running down my spine. I bite my bottom lip, looking at Frost through my lashes.

“Yes,” I tell him, grabbing his hand and tugging him forward until he’s standing between my thighs. “I have an idea of what I’d like to do now. But only if you’re up for it.”

I pull Frost close, running my nose against the side of his face, breathing him in. My body feels like it’s coming alive, stirring just for Frost.

Frost pulls back so he can look at my face. “Anything you want. All you have to do is ask.”

I lean forward and kiss his lips, feeling his piercings press against my skin. “Fuck me,” I whisper against his lips. “Make me yours, Frost. As my Christmas gift, I want to wear your mark across my skin.”

Frost growls and a moment later, he’s lifting me off the counter and carrying me to the bedroom. I squeal with delight, my body shaking with anticipation. I hold on to Frost’s shoulders as he rushes us through the house, his fingers a tight vise against my ass cheeks.
