“No.” My brother and I answered at the same time.
“You metmyfiancée?” Garrett seethed, and it took everything in me to keep my fists balled at my sides and not connect them with his fucking mouth. I had no right to be jealous of him, and without question, I shouldn’t, particularly because it was a very real possibility that she was my brother’s accomplice in everything. Yet here I was acting like she was mine to protect. I wished there was another possibility that would prove my brother wasn’t capable of the things I’d seen, but without question it wasn’t me in the photos; therefore, it had to be Garrett. I denied myself that truth until I saw him. Secretly, I had clung to the tiniest bit of hope that he was unequivocally out of his mind if it was him because I didn’t want to swallow this as reality—the person I used to protect was the one women and children needed protection from.
“No, we just got into town,” Ghoul answered him, and I was thankful for my Prez’s ability to think quickly on his feet. Usually, I was right there with him, but this situation was unfathomable.
“So, you’re the surprise? Malcom. This. Is. Perfect! She’ll love meeting your brother and his delicious snacks wrapped in leather.”
Of course, Sac being Sac, he smiled at Dave’s compliment. “That’s right, people. I’m a fucking whole ass meal in leather.”
“I wouldn’t feed that low grade of meat to my dog,” I mumbled.
Dave giggled. “Okay, so I’m going ahead inside before they give our reservation to someone else. Meet you in a second?”
“Actually, I think I’m going to catch up with my brother, if that’s okay with you, man.”
“Boo. Fine. I get it, but you’re coming with me.” Dave nodded toward Sac, and the dumbass stepped toward the door.
“He’s going to have to give you raincheck.” Ghoul cleared his throat and glared at Sac.
“Fine. I’ll entertain myself, but you all owe me shots at the wedding reception.”
“I promise there will be shots.” I smiled, the double entendre of my statement was not intended, but it worked well.
As soon as Dave was inside, Garrett’s flip flops were in the dirt, and he took off running. I barreled after him, tackling him to the ground. I flipped his body over, forcing him to look at me for the next part. “Where the fuck you going, Garrett? You’ve clearly visited me and not given me the pleasure of returning the damned favor. I’d ask what the hell you’ve been doing, but I think I know. Impersonating me, making me out to be a monster. No, I’ll own my own atrocities. Iama fucking monster. I’m a bastard. But I’m nowhere near what you are. I don’t get off on raping kids and women.”
“You always were smug. That’s why I raped that bitch we called a mom to prove a point. I wanted her to die in that fucking house thinking it was you who violated her. Even though I wore a damned ski mask, she still swore it was me because her golden child wasn’t capable of doing that, so I burned her in our fucking house. Berkley covered for me, and all I had to do was let him take a turn railing her. Wanna know the best part, Grey? I’m going to do it all over again tomorrow after I marry Z. I fucked around and got attached, got distracted, but after I got wind of you going to the feds, I remembered who the hell I was. I’m going to gut that FBI bitch right after I marry Z. She won’t testify against me, hell she doesn’t even know what I’ve been up to yet. But, better safe than sorry. She will never turn me in, I’m the love of her life.”
Vomit rose into my mouth, and I spit it onto his face. The fucker didn’t even try to deny any of it, but that wasn’t his style even when we were kids. He always made it known that he didn’t care for Mom, but I didn’t think he was capable of the atrocities he said. Berkley was a dirty cop, but I never imagined he was that twisted.
“I’m going to fucking end you!” I growled, and fingers wrapped around my shoulders. Sac pulled me off my brother. Ghoul and Tin Man were on him at once, pulling him to his feet and hooked their arms in his.
“One fucking wrong move, and I’ll blow your kidney out of your stomach,” Tin Man warned.
“Why don’t you just fucking kill me here?” he yelled, and Ghoul’s fist landed one hell of a haymaker on Garrett’s chin.
“You’ll have to excusemybrothers. They’re lethal killers and to be quite frank with you, they learned from the best. We’re not exactly as tame as your friend Dave, but I’ll guarantee you one thing. If you open your damned mouth one more time, hell, if you even think about it, I’ll have Sac release your brother over there. I can promise you that out of all of us, he’s the one you don’t want to talk shit to. That fucker is wiley as fuck and will laugh as he curb stomps your skull. Understand?” Ghoul asked him.
Garrett nodded, but no words left his mouth.
“Where’s your ride?” Ghoul demanded.
“It’s over there.”
We followed his instructions, and much to my surprise, he was truthful. Ghoul climbed inside right behind him, and Tin Man took the empty seat to his left.

WILEY
WEDDING DAY
““What the fuck do you mean he got away?” I boomed, reminding myself that Sac was my brother and I’d hate myself if I killed him.
“We were literally twenty feet away, Sac. Two hundred forty fucking inches from you. Why didn’t you yell at us, or, here’s a novel idea, chase after the asshole?”
“He fucking stabbed me, excuse the fuck out of me for holding pressure to my wound and not wanting to cause a fucking scene by bleeding all over the wedding,” Sac growled, biting down on his lip.
“Fuck, man. I didn’t realize. I’m sorry,” I apologized all the while scanning the grounds for my brother. “We should have left last night; I knew this plan was shit.”
