“You won’t be captured,” said Ham. “And we won’t leave anyone. That’s not our style. You’ll learn that we go in together, and we leave together. In our entire history, we have never left a man behind. In fact, we’ve done a lot of stupid shit to go back in and get men and women from behind enemy lines. This will be no different. You will leave with us, Leo.”
Leo just nodded, smiling at CJ. A few weeks ago, he thought his career was over. Now, thanks to Jill and Georgie, his career was thriving, and he had a future career waiting for him when all this was done.
Hiro handed the tablet to Ham and Gator, signaling for them to read what was there. The two men looked down, then back up.
“We’ve got an interesting turn of events.”
CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX
“Where is my sister?” asked Mikella.
“We weren’t able to find her,” said the man, standing in front of her. “We went to her apartment, the apartment of the last mark she was with, and even to her favorite hotel. She was nowhere to be found. Her phone is not tracking and seems to be turned off.”
“Arrested?” she asked.
“Not that we’ve found. There’s no record of her being taken by anyone.” She waved the young soldier away from her and looked down at the plans on the table in front of her. She’d ensured that the cargo was loaded properly and on its way. Now, she was in a private jet headed to Cyprus where she would meet the ship and transfer the last of the goods to her colleagues.
“Colleagues,” she whispered to herself, chuckling.
They weren’t colleagues. They were disposable pieces in the game of chess that she’d chosen. Desperate for weapons, desperate for victory, and desperate for leadership, they needed her. Using her connections from her father’s friends, she’d taken advantage of every opportunity to be in control.
While Alana was fucking her way through the male population, and Irena was drugging them to get information, Mikella was using all of the skills combined to move them ahead. She’d fucked more than her fair share of men and a few women. She’d drugged thousands, used truth serum, stolen documents, infiltrated businesses, governments, and the military. She’d married, divorced, and widowed many times over. Just when someone was getting suspicious about the dead bodies the women were leaving, they would be interrogated, and police would discover that it wasn’t the woman they were looking for. Irena would be married, kill her man, and disappear. Alana would be questioned and prove she was only a doppelganger.
They’d done it dozens of times and always got away with it. Always. It was easy to show that the serviceman or woman was depressed and took their own life. Too easy.
Yes, her sisters were skilled, but she was skilled, experienced, and focused. Alana was becoming a danger to them all. Her desire for sex was more powerful than she’d believed, and it was going to come back at them sooner or later. She had to end her life before she made a horrible mistake.
Picking up the phone, she dialed her sister’s number.
“You’ve reached Irena. I’m not available to come to the phone right now, but leave a message.”
“I’ve left dozens of messages, Irena. You are pushing my buttons, and we both know that you don’t want to do that. Tell me where you are.”
She pushed the phone aside and waved at the male flight attendant.
“I’d like some dinner, please. Salmon if we have it, asparagus, au gratin potatoes, and a glass of champagne.”
“Of course, madam. Coming right up,” he nodded, smiling at the woman. She gripped his wrist, holding him there.
“You’re new,” she smiled.
“I’ve been on other flights, madam. I was usually up front with the captain.”
“Why are you back here?” she asked suspiciously.
“The other flight attendant was sick with a cold. He’s with the captain, and I’m, very gratefully, serving you.”
“Aren’t you charming,” she smiled. “I’ll need you later.”
“Whatever you need,” he said with a smile.
She watched as the very tight ass walked back to the galley and felt her body begin to burn for attention. When her phone vibrated, she looked down at the message and frowned, shoving it across the table.
“You are dead to me!”
“I wonder if they’ve figured out that Hiro is on the flight yet,” smirked AJ.
“He probably jumped out and said ‘boo,’ scaring the shit out of all of them,” laughed Tanner. “I wish I could have been there.”
