Crystal shoots up out of her chair faster than lightning. “You did what?” Cam and Torch stare daggers at Cara. She has a hand over her mouth but there’s a bit of a smile there. Cam drags his thumb across his throat while looking at her, promising his vengeance.

“You had girls in the house?”

“I have no clue what she’s talking about. Must be the drugs. We’re going to go home and check on the kids. Love you. Bye.” Cam grabs my hand and starts rushing out the door, followed by Torch.

As soon as the elevator doors close, I burst into a fit of giggles. Torch and Cam look like they’re about to shit their pants. “Your mom is so going to kill you two.”

They hang their heads and sigh in agreement.

ChapterTwenty-Nine

BLADE

It’s been a few days since the accident. By some miraculous miracle, I have been able to avoid my mother. I’ve been dodging her like I’m a criminal with a warrant and she’s the police. In a way, that statement is accurate. Torch and I have committed a crime, and she will make us pay for it. It doesn’t matter that it was almost fifteen years ago. As soon as Cara is healed, I’m going to kill her. I know the drugs took a major part in her outing us, but she must pay.

Things between me and Bianca are great. With everything that was a threat to us finally buried, we started to plan our wedding. Bianca doesn’t want anything too big. She only has a few family members that she would like to invite. We’re planning for October. That gives her a little over two months to get something planned.

Cara gave her the number to the wedding planners she used for her and Viper’s wedding. They were lifesavers. Cara and Viper’s wedding was absolutely beautiful. Bianca wanted to resist, saying the wedding would cost enough money as it is. I showed her my bank account that was well into the millions and that’s not even counting my inheritance which is a little over four and a half million.

My dad taught me and my siblings how to invest in stocks. It’s how he became who he is. After years of investing, he earned enough money to open his first hotel, and the rest is history. Over the years, my bank account grew from the investments. And now, the strip club adds to my income.

Bianca looked at my account and was stunned. I told her to make the call so she could enjoy planning the wedding and not be overwhelmed with stress.

Today has been perfect. I’ve been sitting back, watching movies with my family in peace. The girls are watching from their fort while Bianca is spread out on top of me. This is my own personal heaven.

Bianca sits up to look me in the eyes once the movie is over. “I’ve been thinking about something.”

“What’s that, Coco?” I ask after kissing her.

“What do you think of trying for a baby after the wedding?” she whispers.

Sitting up, I make sure I keep my arms wrapped around her. “Are you serious?” She nods and I jump up with her still in my arms, spinning her around. Bianca laughs and holds on tight. The commotion has the girls peeking out of their fort.

“What’s going on, Daddy?” Abi asks.

I set Bianca down and lie on the ground beside their fort. “How would you feel about having a baby brother or sister?” I ask them.

They look between each other while having a silent conversation. I’ve done it too many times. Being a triplet, you’re oddly connected with the others’ feelings and emotions. Torch, Cara, and I can read each other from across the room. Mom used to get freaked out when we would do it. You truly can’t understand it unless you’re in it.

Finally, they look back at me. “Will we still have movie days, Daddy?” Mari whispers.

Sitting up, I gesture for them to come sit with me. Two are on either side and one takes my lap, all looking up to me with those beautiful golden eyes. “Nothing will change. I will love you just the same. We’ll have movie days, coloring time, tea parties, and whatever else you want to do with Daddy.”

I watch their beautiful smiles stretch across their faces before they all nod. “Yes, we want another baby!” Naomi shouts and they wrap their tiny arms around me. I do my classic fake takedown and fall to the ground to their amusement. Once they’ve had their fill of love, they run over to Bianca and give her the same amount of attention.

Once they run off to their room to play dolls, I get up and walk over to Bianca. “I love you so fuckin’ much, Coco,” I tell her as I wrap her in my arms.

“I love you too,” she breathes out.

Just as I’m about to lean in to kiss her, my phone goes off. I growl in frustration and yank my phone out of my pocket to see a text from Viper.

Prez: Basement. Twenty minutes.

Guess it’s time to finally end Pyro and Layla’s miserable lives. “I’ve got to go, Coco. Club business. I’ll be back in a few hours.”

Bianca nods while rising on her toes and kissing me to the point where I don’t want to leave. All too soon, she pulls away. “Be safe.”

I nod and give her another quick kiss before grabbing my cut off the coat rack by the front door and heading out. Walking into the clubhouse, it’s completely empty. I guess everyone is already in the basement. The guys have been itching to get their hands on Pyro.
