What in the world is she doing here? A few of the brothers have followed us here. I notice Smoke is one of them with my mom on the back of his bike. I’m so confused but I still hop out of the truck and help Cam unstrap the girls. As soon as they’re free, they take off running to Miss Josie and hug her, shouting how much they’ve missed her.
“I missed you girls so much. How have you been?”
“Good. We stay with Daddy now,” Mari says, smiling up at Miss Josie.
She turns and looks at Cam when he extends his hand. “Nice to officially meet you, ma’am.”
Miss Josie waves him off. “Miss Josie is just fine. Now, Bianca, let me see that ring.” Giving a shy smile, I raise my hand and she clasps her hands with a gasp. “Oh, it’s beautiful, Bianca. Nice choice, young man.”
“Miss Josie, not that I’m not happy to see you, but what is going on?”
“I don’t know. Your mom texted me and told me to meet her here, but that’s all she said.”
Mom waves from the porch and Cam steps forward. He pulls a key out of his pocket and unlocks the front door. We file in behind him as he gives us a tour of the house. It’s completely bare inside the home, but all the appliances are brand new. It also had three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a nice spacious living room, and a dining room big enough for a table that seats ten.
After the tour is over, Cameron leads us back to the kitchen where there are papers sitting on the counter. He hands them to Miss Josie, telling her to read them. After a few minutes, she takes a few steps back and gasps. “I don’t understand.” I can see the tears brimming in her eyes and I look over to my mom who looks like she’s going to cry as well.
“It’s yours,” Cam informs her.
Now I know I have a look of pure shock on my face. Miss Josie turns to me, and I shake my head in confusion, not having a clue as to what is going on.
“B-but how?” she asks.
“I paid for it. You were a helping hand in keeping my girls safe and loved when I wasn’t there. You made sure Bianca was able to work so she could provide for them and not charging her a dime in the process.Thisis my thank you. Don’t try to refuse because it’s already in your name and it’s completely paid off. If you don’t take it, it’ll pretty much sit here and collect dust.”
As soon as the last word leaves Cameron’s mouth, Miss Josie rushes forward and wraps him in a huge hug. I can only look on in shock. I can’t believe he did this. I didn’t think it was possible, but I fall a little more in love with Cam. He is the exact opposite of what I believed of him over the years.
Cam reaches into his pocket and hands her a card. “That’s not all. I want you to go to this address and ask for Sal. He’ll be expecting you. You have to furnish this home and there is no limit. I want you to decorate this home to your liking and not worry about the price. I’ll come back. I want to see this house fully decorated or I’ll start sending over random items myself.”
Miss Josie gives a strangled laugh through her tears but nods her head. “I have one more thing for you, Miss Josie. Follow me.”
“I don’t know how much more I can take.” Miss Josie cries, clutching her chest.
“Just one more thing. I promise,” Cam tells her with a smile. He leads us to a door near the front entrance and hits a light switch next to the door. When he opens it, Miss Josie cries out and hugs Cameron again as he wraps his arms around her, chuckling.
I take a few steps ahead to peek in the door. There in the garage is a brand-new Toyota Camry with a big red bow tied on the hood. Tears fills my eyes. I can no longer hold them back. I look up to the man I’m going to spend the rest of my life with and smile.
“I love you.”
Cam gives me that killer smile. “Love you too, Coco.”
After a few minutes, Miss Josie calms down and thanks Cam over and over again. She walks back to the kitchen, and we hear her crying to her son, telling him what Cameron has done for her. He pulled up to the house after fifteen minutes to see the home for himself. He thanked Cameron for getting his mother out of that neighborhood.
I’ve only met her son a handful of times, but I know he works in construction, and he helps his mom as much as he can. “If you need any help with moving her things, give me a call. I can bring some of the brothers to help.”
“Thank you. I’ll keep that in my mind, but we should be okay. I have some work buddies plus a few cousins, so we should be able to get it done.”
They shake hands and we leave a still crying Miss Josie in the arms of her son. She made sure to let the girls know as soon as she was done moving, she would be coming to get them. Cam and I assured her that anytime she wanted them, they were just a phone call away.
Once we’re back at the compound, we settle in for our nightly routine of dinner at the clubhouse and then home. Once I’ve read the girls their story for the night and they’re asleep, I have one thing on mind and that’s rewarding my fiancé.
ChapterTwenty-Five
BLADE
Today felt really good. Gifting Miss Josie that house was the least I could do. Not many would watch someone’s child free of charge let alone a set of triplets. That house doesn’t even compare to all she has done for my girls. Bianca was quiet throughout dinner at the clubhouse tonight and now I’m wondering if I crossed a line.
The bedroom door opens and in walks my woman. Any thoughts of me taking things too far with buying that house flies out the window. Bianca’s eyes are dark with lust and for some reason, I feel like her prey. Not that I’m complaining. I feel strangely turned on by the thought. I sit on the bed, silently watching her slowly make her way to the bed.
