When Cam turns back around, he drops to one knee and my mouth drops open as the tears flood my eyes. When he opens the box, my eyes widen at the size of the ring. It’s about a four or five carat, oval-shaped diamond, and it’s beautiful. “Bianca Harris, will you marry me?”
“Yes!” I shout and Cam quickly slides the ring on my finger and takes me into his arms. Our girls run over, and we hold them to us while everyone cheers and celebrates. After a few minutes of reassuring the girls that my tears are happy, my mom rushes over, no longer able to hold herself back.
“You’re engaged!” she exclaims, taking me into her embrace. When she pulls back, she grabs my hand and examines the ring. “Whoa, you weren’t kidding when you said you went all out,” she says, looking over at Cam.
“You knew?” I gasp.
“Well, I did have to ask her permission, but she didn’t know when I would ask,” Cam says, winking at me.
“And you already know the girls will be with us tonight, so happy celebrating,” she says, wiggling her eyebrows before walking away. My mouth drops open and Cam hugs me, laughing as his siblings swarm us. I love that his family welcomed me with open arms. It’s like I gained two more parents and more brothers and sisters than I could have ever wished for growing up.
“Before you and Cam get all freaky tonight, we’re meeting up at my house to celebrate. Smoke and your mom are going to our parents while all the kids have a sleepover together,” Sara says when she releases me from a hug.
“Sounds good to me. Plus, I have all night and morning to celebrate with myfiancé.” I wink and we laugh when Cam starts choking on his drink. The look he gives me sends a shiver down my spine and now I’m looking forward to when he has me alone later tonight.
ChapterTwenty-Two
BIANCA
“Atoast to the future Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Romano!” Viper shouts and everyone takes their shots. It’s a small get-together at Sara’s house. All his siblings are here and a few of the brothers as well. Most went back to the clubhouse, wanting to give us space to celebrate.
“You do realize by agreeing to be his wife, you agreed to giving him more babies,” Cara says, smirking at me.
“I don’t care. I’ll give this man a million babies if that’s what he wants.”
A collective “aww” goes around the room. When I lock eyes with Cam, his are dancing with mischief, and I instantly get a little nervous. Even though I know it’s not humanly possible, I still feel the need to defend myself.
“I was just joking, Cam. No, seriously, just a few. Stop smiling like that,” I say hastily.
Everyone starts laughing and Cam just wiggles his eyebrows at me. Oh my God, what have I gotten myself into? This man is probably going to try and keep me barefoot and pregnant. After about an hour of taking shots and celebrating, Bear takes the guys down to the basement to show off a few of the things he added to his man cave.
“So, when is the wedding?” Sofia asks as soon as the guys are gone.
“I don’t know. I’m thinking about a year from now,” I say with a shrug.
Cara snorts, shaking her head. “He is not waiting that long to marry you. I give him three months top.”
My mouth drops open and his sisters nod their head in agreement. “I can’t plan a wedding in three months.” That’s insane. I don’t know much about weddings but I’m pretty sure I need a little longer than three months.
“Don’t stress, Bianca. We’ll be here in any way to help you,” Sara says, patting my knee. Before I can respond, my phone beeps and I pull it away. I see a text from my mom.
Mom: Can you bring Mari’s unicorn stuffy? She doesn’t want to sleep without it.
Me: Sure. I’ll bring it right over.
Mom: Thanks!
“I’ll be right back. I have to take Mari her stuffy. She can’t sleep without it.”
I get up and Sara and Cara share a look I can’t decipher. I head out the door. It takes me no time to get home. Cam’s house is only three houses down from Sara’s. Once I have the stuffy in hand, I rush back into the living room and freeze when I see Ivy standing there.
She looks downright murderous. Normally, I wouldn’t let that get to me but seeing as she has butcher knife in her hand, I’m a little nervous. Before I can try and talk her crazy ass off the ledge, she speaks.
“You took…everything!” she snarls at me.
“I didn’t do anything. You’re the one who lied and schemed.”
Maybe it’s not a smart idea to piss her off even more, but I take one look at her and anger bubbles up inside of me that I can’t control. She says I took everything from her when, actually, it’s the other way around. I raised my daughters without their father for three years because of her. I was scared every time I heard a motorcycle, thinking that Cameron decided to go ahead and kill me. I lived in fear every day from the moment I peed on that stick and it’s all thanks to this delusional bitch.
