“Aww,” Sara, Sofia, and I coo. Cara looks over at Viper with so much love in her eyes. When Viper walks over to her, she leans her head back, and he leans toward her to give her a kiss. Right before their lips touch, Angel puts her hands on their foreheads, pushing them apart.

“Mine,” she says, scowling at her mother.

Viper chuckles and Cara rolls her eyes. “He was mine before he was yours, Angel.”

The girls and I burst into a fit of giggles, watching Angel glare at her mother while Cara has a teasing smile on her face. Viper tries to set Angel on the ground, but she quickly readjusts herself and clings to Viper with a death grip.

“Daddy day?” he asks her. When she nods with a pout, he nods back and heads for one of the rooms down the hall. Once they disappear into the room, we all start laughing again. Angel has her daddy wrapped around her little finger.

“She’s going to be pissed if we ever have another little girl,” Cara says, shaking her head.

“You two are going to have more kids?” I ask, bewildered.

Cara nods her head with a huge smile. “I want a lot of kids. I loved growing up with five siblings and I want the same for my kids. Although I did tell Viper the other day eight is my limit.”

“Eight kids?” I shriek.

The girls laugh at my shocked expression, but Cara only gives me a nod in response. Holy cow, that’s a lot of kids. At least she’s halfway there, but I could not imagine having eight kids.

After one more glass of wine, I head out, and Sofia and Sara follow. Armor is waiting for Sofia when we make it outside and they walk back to the clubhouse. Sara and I walk quietly up the trail. Once we make it to her house, she stops and turns to me.

“Don’t give up on him. I’ve never seen my brother this way about anyone, and I know he loves you. You and those girls are his world.”

I nod and she pulls me into a hug. Once she’s gone inside her house, I continue my walk. When I walk into the house, the only thing I hear are Minions. The preposterous language of those small yellow people has a smile spreading across my face.

The girls love that movie and knowing Cam, he is watching it with them. He has movie time with them all the time and the girls love it. Following the sounds of the Minions, I walk over to our bedroom. When I open the door, my heart melts.

Cam and the girls are sleeping, but he’s managed to snuggle with each of them. Abi and Naomi are on either side of him and Mari is spread on top of him. They look so peaceful.

I know Cam and I will work this out. We have to. I love him so much. It’s almost scary how fast I fell for him, but I know he’s fallen just as fast for me. Quietly, I slip out of the room and decide to go check up on my mom. Walking up the steps, I head for her room. When I’m in front of her door, I open it and walk in. “Hey, Mama, how are yo—ahhh!”

Quickly turning around, I slam the door shut. Eww. Eww. Eww. My mom and Smoke were in the middle of huge make-out session. Smoke didn’t have a shirt on, and he was palming my mom’s tits!

Eww!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for mom. But I’mnotused to seeing these sorts of things. I can hear the shameless harlot behind the door laughing. I find nothing even remotely funny right now. After a few grumbles from Smoke, the door opens again.

Smoke looks at me with a raised brow and I squint my eyes at him. The annoyingly handsome bastard throws his head back and laughs. Shaking my head, I walk past him and head into the room. I almost take a seat on the bed and think better of it. Who knows what they’ve done in this bed?

Mom sees my expression and starts laughing again. Rolling my eyes, I wait for her giggles to die down.

“Are you okay, honey?” she asks.

“Don’t want to talk about it,” I grumble like a child.

When she gets ready to laugh again, I glare, and she snaps her mouth shut, her shoulders shaking. Ugh.

“I just wanted to check on you, but, clearly, you’re feeling much better.”

Smoke snorts as he takes his place on the bed beside my mom. Smoke really is a good-looking guy. He looks like an older version of Viper. His gray eyes are so bright with his salt-and-pepper hair, and the two-day-old scruff on his face makes him look like a real silver fox.

And I didn’t miss those muscles he was sporting. I’m almost a little ashamed of myself. I’m half his age and he’s in better shape than me.

“Well, let this be a lesson learned, sweetheart. I’m not a single woman anymore so you might want to knock before you enter.”

“Or you could lock the door like normal people.”

“Do you and Blade bother to lock the doors?” she asks with a raised brow, daring me to lie.
