“Hell no, I won’t mind! It’ll be nice to have some home cooking around here. My only question is, can you girls really cook?” he asks. Before I can say anything, Chris slaps Viper on the shoulder, with an ear-splitting smile.

“Hell yes, they can cook. Honestly, they give my mom and nana a run for their money in the kitchen. Oh, I can’t wait. I’ve been missing home-cooked meals.” Chris has a faraway look in his eyes as if he can taste the food already.

“Well, that’s handled. The kitchen is all yours.”

“Also, when we get back from IHOP. Can I take a two of the prospects to Walmart with me to get everything I need? Judging by this food I just saw, I know that kitchen is in need of a makeover.” Viper chuckles but still gives me a nod.

As we’re walking out of the clubhouse, Thor comes up next to me, throwing his arm over my shoulder and gives me a pleading look. “Cara, please let me drive this truck!”

I don’t care how soft his eyes get; it’s not happening. My truck is my baby. I let my siblings drive my truck once, and that’s because they’re family. No way is anybody else driving my truck.

“Not happening, Thor. Nobody drives Betsy but me.”

“Please!” he begs like a petulant child.

“No! Now go away. I’m hungry enough to eat a horse, and if you don’t get out of my way, your arm is going to start looking appetizing!”

The asshole actually pouts at me like it’s going to make a difference. “I thought I was your best guy friend.”

“You are, and that’s the only reason why I have not resorted to violence for you getting in the way of my food.”

That’s gets his attention, and he quickly gets out of my way so I can get into my truck. I hear the guys starting their bikes, but I don’t wait on them. I pull out of the gate and head to the IHOP.

“Did I hear you tell Viper that we would cook the meals from here on out?” Sara asks. I give her a nod, but I don’t say anything else. I am bordering the line of hangry. I’m not a nice person to be around once I reach that place.

“Good, because there is no way I could survive off those club bunnies’ cooking.”

That’s an understatement. I’m surprised those guys haven’t died from food poisoning.

I see the IHOP come into view, and I do a little happy dance in my seat. Once we’re out of the truck, I look around and notice most of the guys came. We’re going to scare a lot of people out of here. I do a quick head count and there are fifteen of us, which makes thirteen six-foot-something tattooed bikers. Yup. I can guarantee a few tables are about to ask for the check.

The server takes us to a room in the back, where there are a few waitresses putting tables together to accommodate us. I take my seat, and when I look up, I see Viper sitting across from me. He winks and licks his lips. Panties melted. How is this man so sexy? His gray eyes draw me in and make me want to submit to his every command. I’m not even submissive! What the hell?

That honestly scares me. I have never wanted to submit to anyone. I’ve always been headstrong and independent. Releasing control is something I am not familiar with but Viper calls to me in a way that’s foreign to me.

Everyone places their order, and Viper is looking at me with wide eyes. Probably because of the amount of food I just ordered.

“Are you actually going to eat all that?” he asks.

He doesn’t sound like he’s disgusted at all. He actually sounds amazed. “Viper, there are a few things you should learn about me. One, I didn’t get these hips and thighs by eating salads,” I say with a wink. “Two, I don’t care how angry you make me, whatever kind of mood I’m in. If you feed me, I will purr like a kitten for you,” I finish with a smirk.

I know exactly what I’m doing right now. He’s always trying to get me twisted in knots so I’m just repaying the favor. Pops starts choking on his coffee, while my brothers look a little embarrassed.

Whatever!

I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve sat through them talking some woman out of her panties. Get over it. My sister is cheesing like a Cheshire Cat right now. She’s the quiet one out of both of us, so she lives vicariously through me.

When I look at Viper, I shrink back a little. The heat in his eyes is a promise, that if and when he finally does get me in his bed, I’m going to pay for the teasing. I can’t say that it scares me. If anything, it excites me even more. Leave it to Thor to break the tension in the room.

“Seriously, I’m not your type, but Viper is?” He gasps.

He needs to let this go already. I don’t bother answering him because we went through this last night. I give him a shrug, letting him know I’m not entertaining that conversation. Luckily, before he can keep pressing the issue, our food arrives, and I waste no time digging in.

As I ate my meal, I might have moaned a few times to which Viper growled and gave me warning looks. Honestly, I wasn’t trying to tease him. Food is my happy place. The intense stare of Viper throughout breakfast had me squirming in my seat. I was relieved when the waiter brought the checks. Once we’d all eaten and paid, we headed back to the clubhouse.

I grab Tech so we can get started on the cameras. We teach Tech everything we know. He’s a fast learner. We’ve been at it for about four hours, and I need a break. Sara decides to stop for the day and start fresh tomorrow, which I do not hesitate to agree to. I make my way to the kitchen to start the list for everything we’re going to need for our little trip to Walmart.

I’m standing at the kitchen island making my list when a pair of hands grab me around the hips and spin me around. That pair of hands belong to Viper. Oh boy, the way he’s looking at me right now lets me know something is about to happen.
