I’ve had sex with so many women and none of them comes even remotely close to what we did last night. It was more than sex. It was like an outer-body experience. I look at the clock, counting down the hours until I can drag her off to my room and really have my way with her.

A knock sounds on my office door and I close the laptop, giving up on getting anything done.

“Come in!”

“Yo, Prez, your woman is three sheets to the wind in the common room,” Capone says laughing.

Damn, I hope she isn’t too drunk. I have plans for her and that sweet pussy of hers. I get up and leave my office, locking the door and following Capone into the common room. As soon as Cara sees me, she smiles. She gets up and loses her footing. Yup. She’s drunk. She stumbles toward Candy and the bitch pushes Cara. Luckily, Thor catches her. I’m making my way toward Candy to put her in her place when I hear the most vicious growl come from behind me.

Duke races past me headed straight for Candy. Her eyes go wide in fear. Before she can run, Duke tackles her and has her pressed to floor. He’s growling and snarling right in her face. Fuck. I think he’s going to rip her ass to shreds. The entire common room is quiet until Cara starts cackling like a loon.

“Oh, you messed up, gumdrop. See, Duke is very protective of me. People think because he’s so quiet that he’s not a threat. Big mistake.” Cara is still laughing through her speech.

“Please,” Candy whimpers. That just makes Duke snarl harder.

“Please what? You want me to call him off?” Cara asks. Her voice is filled with amusement and I know she has no intention of calling Duke off. Candy nods her head as best as she can.

“Why would I deny my boy his right to protect me? Plus, I want to see you shit your pants.” Cara is smiling so hard I’m pretty sure her cheeks hurt.

Sara is at the bar still taking shots like there’s not a hundred-and-eighty-pound pissed-off Great Dane in the room. I hear a hiss behind me and I turn around to see Draco making his way across the common room. He’s baring his teeth, hissing like a wild animal. All the while, Demon is strutting up and down the pool table, screeching, “Lunch time!”. This whole scene is bizarre.

“Oh, you’re in trouble now, Lollipop. See, Draco thinks he’s the only one who has the right to harm me and my siblings. Fucked up. I know.” Cara sighs. “But in his own way, the demonic cat loves us, and you put your hands on me. He isn’t about to let that go.”

“Somebody, help me please!” Candy whines. All the guys look anywhere but at her. Fat fuckin’ chance. I know none of us is about to face-off with two massive pissed-off dogs and a hissing cat who I’ve seen eat a raw chicken like a lion does a gazelle onAnimal Planet.

Nope.

Not happening.

Candy is on her own.

“Come on, sis. I think she learned her lesson,” Blade says, walking over to Cara.

“You never let me have any fun!” she whines with a pout.

“Call him off before he kills her.” Even though the tone of his voice is serious, I see the laughter in his eyes.

“Fine!” she relents while stomping her foot like a pissed-off toddler. Walking over to Candy, she squats down next to her. Her ass looks amazing.

“If you look at me, I’ll let him eat you. If you speak to me, I’ll let him eat you. If you so much as breath the same air as me, I’ll let him eat you. You see where I’m going with this?”

Candy nods her head. “Yes,” she whimpers.

“Fuss!”

Duke gets up and walks back over to his corner and cuddles up with Daisy. Draco, on the other hand, doesn’t listen. He pounces on Candy, striking her across the chest with his claws while biting her shoulder. Candy screams and tries to pry Draco off. Cara is standing there holding her hand over her mouth, trying and failing to hide her smile.

“Don’t look at me! Draco is Sara’s pet. Not mine. She couldn’t train that mean bastard even if she wanted to.” Cara is holding her hands up in defense with a huge smile plastered on her face.

Sara walks over and untangles Draco from Candy. As soon as the hellhound is in Sara arm’s, he starts purring. Candy runs out of the common room bloody and crying.

“Wow. I’ll never piss those animals off,” Axel says beside me.

“No shit!” I reply. Those pets can be so chill one minute and the next, they’re vicious enough to take out a wild animal.

Cara walks over to me and throws her arms around my neck and climbs me like a tree. Wrapping her legs around my waist, she purrs, “I’m ready for bed, baby.”

“Hellcat, you’re drunk.”
