Page 22 of Viper

Walking into the clubhouse, I race to my room to hide my purchase. I don’t want to take the chance of Viper finding it if I hide it in his room. I’m almost at my room when I hear Chains’ voice behind me. He’s the road captain.

“What’s in the pink bag, Cara?”

When I turn around, I see he has a devilish smirk on face while eyeing my bag. Diablo is next to him with one of the bunnies, who goes by Diamond, thrown over his shoulder. These two are best friends and they like to share their women.

They’re both good-looking guys. Chains is a little over six feet, with tattoos covering his arms, dirty blond hair cut short and hazel eyes. Diablo looks just like his road name—a sexy devil. He’s the same height as Chains, with dark long hair and a thick beard. His brown eyes are so dark, I swear they look black. He always has a frown on his face, but I found out that like some of us woman, he just has a resting bitch face.

“Shhh. I don’t want Viper to know,” I whisper.

Diablo and Chains laugh and share a look. “So, I’m guessing Prez is getting lucky tonight?” Diablo asks with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

“Not that it’s any of your business, but yes, I plan on being fucked six ways to Sunday.” I turn and walk into my room with my head held high. Shutting the door behind me, I can hear Diablo and Chains cracking up. I laugh and quickly hide my bag and leave the room.

Luckily for me, Diablo and Chains are gone when I make my way to the kitchen. It’s time to start dinner. Sara and I decide on lasagna for tonight. It’s a simple dish. My nerves are on edge, and I can’t focus. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous, but I know this is what I want. I want to be with Viper in every way.

After we have the buffet table set, the guys waste no time filing in and stacking their plates. Capone looks grateful. I made a salad to go with the lasagna. He looks at me and gives me a huge smile. That man is the weirdest Italian I have ever met. We also made some homemade garlic bread and a few desserts as well. We never make dinner without desserts. We did that once and Tiny actually whined about it. No one should have to witness a six-foot-ten biker pout.

During dinner, I see Axel feeding Duke and Daisy table scrapes under the table. I’m going to kick his ass. I have my dogs on a specific diet and lasagna is not in that equation.

“Axel, stop feeding them table food!”

He looks up and pouts at me. “I want to stay on their good side. If they ever get pissed, they’ll remember Big Ax is the one who feeds them the goods.” A few laughs go around the table and I glare at Axel.

“Do you plan on slapping the crap out of me or something?”

Axel rears back with a shocked expression. “No! Why would you ask me something like that?”

“Because that would be the only reason why they would ever attack you. Now stop breaking their diet. The food I feed them keeps them healthy and in shape. I want my babies around for a long time and feeding them lasagna is not helping, Axel.”

Axel looks remorseful by the time I’m finished, and he nods his head. “It’s just every time they give me those sad eyes, I can’t help myself,” he whines.

“Well, close your eyes then,” I growl at him.

The table breaks out in laughter and Axel shakes his head at me. The rest of dinner goes by smoothly as always. Everyone is eating and laughing, enjoying each other.

I even saw Bear holding a conversation with my sister. In public. I know, right? I don’t know what’s going on with them. They’re polar opposites. I see the darkness in Bear. I don’t think he would ever hurt my sister. I would put money on it that he would put his life on the line for her. He looks at her the same way Viper looks at me.

I look over and Candy is giving me the same glare she gives me every day. I’m glad she’s not stupid enough to try anything with me. I’m trained to take down men twice my size and I could break her neck without breaking a sweat.

“What’s going on, Hellcat? You’ve gone quiet all of a sudden,” Viper says, breaking me from my thoughts. I’m not about to tell him I was imagining beating Candy ass.

“Nothing, babe. I’m just in my thoughts today. That’s all,” I reassure him.

“I hope you’re thinking about me,” he says, giving me a quick kiss.

I nod and kiss him back. After dinner, everyone sits around the common room, drinking and having a good time. I stay sober. I want a clear mind for tonight. I see Viper isn’t drinking too much either. That’s good because I don’t want him passing out on me.

After shooting a few games of pool with Thor, I’m ready to head to Viper’s room. Thor is whining and asking for another rematch but it’s not happening, at least not tonight. I have other things on my mind. As if he is in tune with my thoughts, I feel arms circle my waist from behind before I hear his deep growly voice in my ear.

“You ready for bed?”

“Yeah. You can shower first. I have to get Demon set up in my room, and I’ll shower after you.”

He gives me a look, and I know why. We have a routine, as crazy as it sounds. We’ve only been sharing a room for a week, but I always shower first.

He doesn’t press me. He walks to his room, and I go to mine. I grab my lingerie and wrap it in my towel, so Viper doesn’t see it. When I make it to his room, he’s just finishing up his shower. I make a quick dash to the bathroom and shut the door. While I’m in the shower, I shave and take my time getting myself ready.

After rubbing myself down in my apple cinnamon lotion, I slip the lingerie on. I brush through my hair a few times making sure it’s tangle free. I look at myself in the mirror and smile. It’s time.
