“James swore!” Mac states loudly.
“Lying will get you corner time,” Ava threatens.
Without a word, Mac flutters off the table, lands on the floor and struts to the nearest corner. With his back to the room, he unleashes every swear word known to man, including a few in Spanish.
Ava throws her hands in the air and stomps back into the kitchen. As soon as the door closes, the room erupts in laughter. Mac is a demonic little bird, but he’s always entertaining.
“I know I’m going to regret this, but I have to ask. Is that normal attire at biker dinners?” James asks while indicating the four guys in diapers.
“No, but with those four, it’s not surprising either,” I answer.
“They fill their diapers out nicely. I wonder if anyone needs a diaper change?” Lottie asks as she stands and walks toward the pool table.
“Your aunts are the shit, Cash,” James declares.
“They’re crazy as loons, but our family don’t hide our crazy. We put it right out on front street,” Dad says with a chuckle.
“They’re not crazy, they’re evil,” Terry insists.
“Heard that,” states Lola as she saunters past.
“You know she’s going to put a curse on me now. Something horrible too,” Terry whines.
“Maybe we’ll get lucky, and the curse will correct your fashion sense. Even if your dick does fall off,” Dad jokes.

The women outdid themselves with dinner as usual. Everyone made a point to come over and welcome Livi and James. Liam was fussed and fought over as I expected he would be. Loki and his son Cain met and approved of Snots. Eventually, Mac was allowed out of the corner, and he complained loud and long about his punishment. Basically, it’s been a normal, family dinner at the clubhouse.
“Hi, Cash. Can I hold Liam?” Craig asks.
“He’s really small, Craig. You have to be careful,” I remind him.
“Yeah, I know that, Cash. This isn’t my first baby, you know,” Craig says with a roll of his eyes.
“Sit in my chair, Craig. I’ll go remind Axel how sexy Cash is,” Terry offers as he stands and walks away.
Craig carefully removes his backpack and hands it to James. He climbs into Terry’s chair and waits for me to place Liam in his arms. I’m nervous about this, but Craig’s not. He gently cradles Liam and rocks his body slightly. I’m impressed with the little guy.
“Be careful with that backpack, James. I’ll take it back when I’m done doing some male-bonding with Liam,” Craig says in a serious tone.
“You like babies, Craig?” Livi asks him.
“Yeah, especially Liam. We needed some more boys around here. It’s been all girls except for me. I like the girls, but it’s time I have someone to teach things to. Chubs says I’m very smart, so I have a lot to teach Liam,” Craig answers in his usual adult-sounding way.
“When Liam can walk, what’s the first thing you’re going to teach him?” Livi asks.
“To piss outside. Saves a lot of time,” Craig answers.
I bite back a laugh at the look on Livi’s face. She stares at Craig for a moment before doing a slow blink. I ignore Dad and James as they chuckle. Craig doesn’t hesitate to continue sharing his wisdom with Livi.
“Also, how to avoid baths. No boy needs as many of those as you women think we do. Boys shouldn’t smell all soapy. He also has to learn all the secret paths in the woods. Where to hide when Trudy’s looking for you. I’ll teach him how to take care of his pets too. That’s very important.”
“That’s a lot of stuff to learn. He’s lucky he’s got you to help with all of that,” Livi says.
“Yes, he is,” Craig agrees. “James, since I’m holding Liam, could you check to see if Bart’s still sleeping? If not, can you get him out so he can play?”
I open my mouth to warn James when I feel my dad’s hand land on my arm. Looking at him, he shakes his head slightly. His eyes are already filled with laughter. Sad to say, but my dad’s one sketchy bastard. I must have inherited it from him because I don’t speak up either.
