“Regan.” My eyes are locked on hers.

When she understands that I’m not letting go, she whispers, “What?”

“Step away from my sister.”

“They named you that for a reason. What was it?” Fuck my cover. Fuck being a stalker. Fuck hiding what I want. I’ll deal with the fallout later.

The whites in her eyes almost swallow up the chocolate brown of her irises. “Excuse me?”

I slam a hand on the wall next her head. “Tell me and I’ll leave.”

Rosemary’s fingers are on my arm. I don’t bother shaking her off. I’ll never, ever hurt her. In the short time I stalked Regan through her laptop, all I got from her sister was that she loved Regan.

Regan blinks. Then her eyes soften and she shakes her head.

“Rosemary, it’s okay. He’s just asking about my name.Ournames, really,” she tells her without looking away from me. A slow smile spreads on her face as a sinister look takes over her beautiful face. “Rosemary and Regan.”

The way she emphasizes the names…

It takes me too long to come up with an answer. I’m lost in her gaze. In her.

“Landon,” she whispers, like we’re sharing more than a secret. Like what we have is intimate. “If you don’t watch horror movies, we can’t be friends.”

Hmm. I do, in fact, watch horror movies. They remind me what my life would be like the second I let my obsessive nature latch on to something or someone.

Now it makes sense.

“Rosemary forRosemary’s Baby.”

Mojo mewls, rubbing his nose against my jeans.

“Traitor,” the woman who was named after the Antichrist’s mother hisses.

Regan. She was the main character in…

“The Exorcist.”

That lands me a wider smile from the woman I’m obsessed with. I’ll have more of those later.

Not at this moment. Not before I get myself under control and do something reckless like kidnap her and keep her locked up in a room.

I won’t kill her, though. No matter what, I won’t.

“Will someone tell me what the hell is going on?”

Regan doesn’t introduce us. She says, “Landon was just leaving.”

I smirk at her. It’s okay. I can be her dirty little secret.

For the time being.

Soon, I’ll become a part of her life.

Soon, I’ll take over it.
