I wasn’t going to be able to hold on much longer. “Getting close.”
“Do it. Come in me.”
Fuck. I wanted that. I wanted to watch my cum spill out of him. That image sent me spiraling toward my release until my body clenched and thrusts stuttered while pleasure rolled through me. Riggs clenched around my cock, which sent me higher and higher.
“Yeah. Fuck yeah.” Riggs’s arm sped up, and I reached down and tugged on his balls. “Nngh.” He pushed back, then thrust forward as his body jerked.
I squeezed his hips and made quick thrusts inside him as he jerked himself through it until I became too sensitive and had to pull out.
Riggs collapsed onto his stomach. “Jesus.”
“Same.” I dropped onto the bed next to him. He draped his arm over my waist.
“So good,” he mumbled against the bedding.
I laughed at his blissed expression. “Same.”
After a minute or two, I dragged myself up to ditch the condom in the bathroom trash. When I returned to the bedroom, Riggs was under the covers with his arm outstretched for me and the bedding pulled open on my side of the bed.
My side of the bed.
I dove under the comforter and snuggled against him like a barnacle. My hand bounced on his chest as he chuckled.
I want more of this. I don’t want to leave. My last hazy thought before dozing off wasmaybe I don’t have to.
Chapter31
Riggs
I slappedmy alarm until it stopped buzzing. It’d come too quickly. Had I set it for the wrong time? I rolled over, pulled a warm Keaton against me, and hummed. As I began to fall back asleep, I remembered why the alarm was set to go off extra early.
I’d rescheduled a couple of tomorrow’s appointments to early this morning. The customers hadn’t minded since they’d called on short notice anyway. Since the tree blocking the road was cleared yesterday and the snowplow had been through, I had no good excuse to stay locked away with Keaton for another day. Especially since I planned to take a half day off tomorrow to take him to the mountain.
“‘S early,” Keaton mumbled against my chest as he wrapped his arm around my waist. The scratch of his stubble and the tenderness in my ass were a welcome combination.
I kissed his forehead and reluctantly pulled away so I could shower. I went through the motions like a zombie. After getting dressed, I shuffled to the kitchen and found Keaton wearing one of my hoodies while standing at the stove. He swam in it. And he’d put the newspaper on my chair. My chest clenched. I couldn’t imagine facing an empty kitchen again starting next week.
“How are you feeling this morning?” He looked over his shoulder and ogled me.
“Sore in a good way.” I approached him from behind, pressed my front to his back, and kissed the crook of his neck. He leaned back and melted into my touch. How am I supposed to go on without this?
“My abs and glutes are a little achy. Guess I need more practice.” He waggled his eyebrows. He turned in my arms and tilted his face for a kiss just as my phone rang in my pocket.
Maybe I’d get lucky and it would be my first client calling to reschedule. A quickie before work would be a great way to start the day. I pulled my phone out and saw it was Doris calling.
“Everything okay?”
“Good morning to you too.” She laughed. “I was hoping to catch you before you got swamped with work. It’s all hands on deck to finish the children’s cottages today because of the storm. Is there any chance you’d have some time to help today? It’s okay if you can’t make it work.”
My mind turned into a Tetris board as I tried to quickly juggle my schedule in my head. I wanted to help. Those cottages brought joy to kids all over the county. There was one longer appointment on the books today that I could push to next week since the plasterer had to reschedule until late next week anyway. That should free up a couple of hours. It would probably suit me better to have next week busier to keep my mind occupied after Keaton left.
“I can come around lunchtime.”
Doris let out a relieved sigh. “Thank you. I hate to even ask. I know how busy you are, especially this year.”
I watched Keaton dish up scrambled eggs and sausages. “I’m glad you did. I’d rather help than be part of the reason it didn’t happen this year.”
“You’re a great man. How’s Keaton?” she asked in a sing-song.
