“Let’s hope the walls here are thicker than at Dom’s house. When you guys are tipsy, damn you get loud.” Ty shuddered. “Dom, you should add some insulation when you get around to remodeling the house.”
Dom snorted.
“It’s not that bad,” Ethan said.
“Oh yeah? Then what was going on in your room the other night? You and Parker thought you were home alone, huh?” Ty pressed.
Austin’s eyebrows shot up, and we stared at each other. I knew what we would be talking about later.
Thatwas a development. Ethan had insisted everything with the Parker guy he’d met was basically a business arrangement.
Ethan’s face went beet red. “Parker and I weren’t doinganything.”
“Sure,” Ty said, drawing out the word.
“Fuck you. You know I’m just pretending to be his boyfriend. It’s not real.” Ethan’s jaw flexed.
“Jealousy isn’t a good look for you, cousin.” Austin took a big gulp of his beer.
“Jealousy? Bullshit.” Ty boasted about his recent hookups as Dom stood behind Ty, shaking his head.
“Oh my god. I don’t want to know that about my brother.” Seth grimaced.
I was so lucky to find a family like them. They put the “fun” in dysfunctional.
After finishing our beer break, we walked over to my old apartment to grab more furniture.
“Help me with the mattress,” Dom said to Ty as I unlocked the door.
“Do we need a hazmat suit for it?” Ty asked.
“Nah. We’ve fucked on your bed too. The cooties are everywhere. Inescapable.” Austin moved close behind Ty and gently blew on the back of his neck.
Ty damn near jumped three feet in the air then demonstrated the range of his profane vocabulary as he followed Dom into the living room. I laughed while propping my front door open.
“Moving day? You and Austin must be pumped.”
I turned toward Hayden, the guy who’d moved in next door a couple of weeks ago. “Yeah, we’re stoked. You’ll have to come over for dinner and some of Austin’s beer when we get settled in.”
In less than a year, I’d somehow gone from scarfing leftovers from my food truck late at night because I was too wiped out to cook anything to moving in with my boyfriend and making new friends to cook for. Inourhome.
“I’d love that.” He smiled. Hayden was tall, bulky, and good-looking. Austin and I had immediately agreed on that. The Tap That boys would eat him up.
“Got a minute? I’ll introduce you to the guys.”
“You sure? I don’t want to interrupt.” He shoved his keys into his pocket. “How about I help? I haul heavy things around for a living.” He grinned.
“I won’t say no to extra help. The sooner we’re done, the sooner we get to enjoy more of Austin’s beer.” I clapped Hayden on the back. “I’d warn you, but there’s nothing I could say that could prepare you for this zoo.”
Hayden followed me into the living room. I heard the guys in the bedroom debating about the best way to clean jizz off a mattress.
“Hey, man.” Austin shook Hayden’s hand. “Good to see you.” He turned his attention to me and smirked.
We’d made a deliciously naughty bet over whether Ethan or Ty would get to Hayden first. We knew Hayden was gay and single. He didn’t stand a chance against that dastardly duo.
Austin walked to the bedroom. “Guys, I want you to meet someone.”
“A guy? Is he hot?”
