“I just spoke with the lawyer. We’ll go there on Tuesday, just to give him the time to get all the papers ready for us.”
“Perfect, thank you.”
Luca walked closer to us and stood beside Jude. “Hey, Jude?”
Jude kept on reading as if nobody had talked. I peeked at the spine of the book—Arsene Lupin again. He was in his own world; nothing would distract him now.
Luca rested a gentle hand on his shoulder, startling him.
Jude blinked and looked up at Luca.
Luca smiled down at him. “The food’s going to be here soon. Why don’t you go with Dom in the big library upstairs and pick up some books to take with you?”
That did the trick because Jude jumped up from his seat and closed the book with a loud thud.
“There’s a big library?” He looked at Luca with wide eyes.
I loved how my brother didn’t regard Luca differently. I’d been worried at first when I’d imagined these two meetings. Luca was tall, muscular, and on top of the scars, he did have a dangerous air about him.
I was not sure how my brother would respond to him; he was awkward with strangers at best… And yet Jude had been accepting of him immediately.
Dom shook his head. “Getting kicked out yet again,” he muttered, but the grin on his face showed he didn't mind in the least.
“I can take any book I want?” Jude asked as if he couldn’t believe it.
Luca ruffled his hair. “Of course, whatever you like.” He looked up at Dom and told him something in Italian.
Dom nodded and stood up. “Come on, Jude, let's give the lovebirds some privacy.”
I watched them go and closed the door behind them before turning to Luca who was looking at me with such intimacy, it made my stomach twist.
“I need to learn Italian.”
He nodded, walking closer to me and stopping just a breath away. “I’ll teach you.” He rested his hands on my hips. “I enjoy teaching you. But I won’t hide anything from you; just ask.”
“What did you just tell Dom?”
Luca leaned down and brushed his lips against my cheekbone. “I told him to keep your brother away from the top shelves; those are not books for him. But they are books you and I can explore.”
My nipples hardened at the lustful thoughts entering my head at his proximity.
Luca closed the little distance between us and pulled me to him, resting his hands on my backside.
“How are you feeling today?”
“Good, a little sore but I don’t mind it.”
Luca brushed the shell of my ear with his lips. “You’re still feeling me deep inside you, aren’t you?”
“Yes,” I admitted, pressing my thighs together.
Luca kissed the side of my face before pulling back reluctantly. “You’re moving in my room today. There's plenty of space in my walk-in.”
“It sounds a lot like an order.”
He frowned. “I don’t mean it to be, but I thought you understood that you were mine now and I intend to share your living space and share your bed every night. There is no alternative.”
I hated to admit it, and the feminist in me probably screamed with indignation, but his alpha, dominant attitude thrilled me in ways that I never would have guessed.
