Libby.

Camila takes this as her cue to place her hand on my thigh and turn to my mother and change the conversation. “Dominic and Diego seem to have rekindled their friendship. Irina and I found them down by the range earlier. Dom doesn’t appear to have lost his old skills,” she pauses before looking at Libby and adding, “anyof his old skills.”

Camila then turns to look at me with a mix of desire and disdain on her features. I’ve never had a hate-fuck but I’d be willing to bet Camila would do it right here on this table. She starts to rub my leg just as Libby heads across the table to place a salad in front of my brother, her eyes downcast and her voice silent.

I try to catch Libby’s eye but she won’t look at me. Instead, it’s Luis who catches my attention. I know by the way Libby discreetly moves her hips she’s trying to shake Luis’ hand off her ass.

Strike number two, little brother.

Camila sees it too and is momentarily distracted so I take the opportunity to brush Camila’s hand off my thigh and say loudly enough for Libby to hear, “I need the restroom.” Throwing my napkin in my plate, I push my chair back to stand.

My mother opens her mouth to protest but I cut her off.

“Am I supposed to ask for permission before taking a piss now as well?”

I leave the dining room and circle back around to the hallway I know Libby will have to come through to get back down to the serving kitchen. Thankfully, her hands are empty when she walks by and I catch her around the waist, pulling her against me, my hand clamped over her mouth as she claws at my skin with her nails.

“Shh, it’s just me.”

She wants out of my embrace, fighting me like she won’t be happy until my DNA is under all of her fingernails.

Fuck me, she believes what she sees out there.

“Libby.Libby!”Finally, she stops moving. “You have to stay calm. And I only have a second.” I brush her hair out of her eyes and take her face between my hands. I kiss her hard but ease off when she starts to moan. “Don’t believe what you see or hear. I don’t want anyone but you.” I’ll tell her a thousand more times if that’s what it takes and I’m hoping later tonight I’ll get the chance to show her as well.

She falls against my chest. I feel her ragged breath more than I hear it and when she pulls back, she has tears in her eyes. “I don’t know how long I can do this. I want to burn the world down every time she even looks at you. It’s like she thinks she owns you.”

“She doesn’t.Youdo. You said you trust me. Is that still true?”

She nods but it takes her a second and it isn’t with much conviction.

I kiss her again and remind her once more, “You own me.” I drop my hands and loop back around to the dining room with a calm smile on my face despite my frustration at only being able to carve out these quick stolen moments with her.

Even though she’s strong, this place is robbing Libby of all of her joy. Her eyes are less bright and she smiles less. It’s next to impossible to stay positive when no choice is her own.

Camila eyes me as soon as I come back in the room. Feeling much better with the taste of Libby on my lips, I move to stand behind Camila and place my hands on her shoulders, kneading her muscles as I lean down and whisper in her ear, knowing everyone at the table is watching.

“You don’t touch me unless I tell you too,” I say with a smile on my face, squeezing slightly so she can feel the strength in my hands. She leans her head back, eyes closed. “That’s the way it’s always been and I don’t know why you think it would be any different now.” I hate myself, but I’m trying to put on a show here, so I fully commit to my role and brush my lips up the side of her neck – careful not to make contact, but close enough that my breath causes goosebumps to erupt on her skin. Careful to keep my voice low so no one can overhear, I tell her, “The games with my mother stop now. I’m no one’s pawn. Are we clear?”

I bite the soft skin in a spot I remember her liking so well and she starts to purr and writhe in her seat but she still hasn’t answered me, so I squeeze tighter. “Are. We. Clear?”

“Crystal,” she breathes. Satisfied, I kiss her temple and take my seat. My mother is blushing, my father looks mildly impressed, despite the fact that he has no idea what I said to her, and Luis looks madder than hell.

Just to twist the knife a little, I raise my glass to Luis as I take my seat. “Cheers.”

AFTER DINNER, I FINALLY lose Camila when she leaves the property going God-knows-where with Irina and Luis. I spend twenty minutes in my father’s office asking surface-level questions about business while we sip on more tequila, avoiding the subject of Libby because my goal in dropping by is to build rapport, not glean information. Once I’m satisfied that I can make a clean exit, I account for my mother’s whereabouts and quietly head up the stairs to Libby’s room. Her hair is wet from the shower and as soon as she opens the door, I slide into the room and kick the door shut behind me.

My hands are in her hair and my lips are on her skin instantly as her towel falls to the floor revealing her smooth, naked body. I’m walking her backwards toward her bed but her legs are shorter than mine and I lose my patience. Bending down, I scoop my hands under her ass and her legs wrap around me immediately. At this point, I’m not actually sure what would happen if someone walked in on us but I’m pretty sure no one would die, which is a relief. Whatever the real reason is for wanting her to dance in their clubs seems to also be the reason she’s being treated well.

She’s grinding against mehardcausing me to feel like a teenager dangerously close to blowing his load after two pumps.

“Libby, Princess, slow down,” I manage to tell her between her thrusts and move my hands from her ass to her hips in order to slow her pace. I know every minute we share right now is stolen and our time is limited but I’m confident we have at least fifteen minutes before we’d be interrupted by anyone.

“God, Dominic, I don’t think I can. You feel so good and I’ve missed you so much,” she pants in my ear, her arms wrapped around my neck for leverage to slide herself up and down.

It feels like we’ve been apart for decades even though we only arrived a few days ago.
