“Which is why I’m in here, trying to splash water on my face to cool it down. Now, can a girl please have a bit of privacy?” She huffs.

“Thea’s horny.” I announce with a smirk. “That’s why she’s hiding in here. Probably about to rub one out before coming back to the table.”

Finn smiles at her. “Oh, Pet, you don’t have to do that. I’m right here, always ready to service you.”

I shake my head. “It can’t be you, Finn.” When Holden steps forward, I fling out my arm, holding him back. “You either. Your companions have to be your main focus tonight.”

To Thea I say, “And this isn’t the place you want to take care of yourself. There are cameras everywhere.”

I tilt my head to the side. She really is flustered, her eyes glassy. “You did well with our game. Care to continue?”

Her stubborn little chin juts out. “I’ve already won.”

“This time you can actually win something tangible.”

“Like what?”

I try to think of something that would convince her to be on her best behavior for the rest of the night. “If you behave, I’ll let you ride my bike.”

The look on her face speaks volumes. So I say, “My other bike.” I show her a picture of it.

She taps a nail against the phone screen. “And all I have to do is let those chicks pawn at Finn and Holden?”

“And not do anything to embarrass us. We all get through this night without drawing blood, pulling hair, slapping people, or cursing out a league member, and you can go for a ride.”

She thrusts her hand out. “Fine. It’s a deal.” I slip mine in hers to shake, ignoring the static charge. She turns to the sink, washes and dries her hands and heads for the door, saying, “Might wanna take care of that hand before you go back out there, big guy.”

As she exits the bathroom, Finn asks, “What’s wrong with your hand, Pax?”

Chapter52

Thea

How are Finn and Holden getting away with this shit? I muse as Finn leans closer to look at my notes. They’re sitting in on my forensic science class today. They’re not being disruptive, but they don’t belong in here. The classes aren’t that big that the professors wouldn’t notice faces that don’t belong. Even if they’re in doubt about who should be in the class. They know the Trium. There’s no missing them, and they’d surely know if they were on the class roster.

Sitting between them is distracting. They want me to explain what happened with Pax at the LDR event. I don’t care if they know. I haven’t said anything, because I’m having fun teasing them about it. I don’t know why Pax hasn’t said anything yet.

Class ends and they each put a hand on my shoulder, forcing me to stay in my seat. The air is charged with possibilities. What are they going to do? What do I want them to do? The last time I was alone in class with one of them, I wound up on my knees. I hate when everyone else tells me to take a knee, but with Holden, it’s fun.

“Where are you rushing off to, Pet?”

“My next class.”

“We’re about to conduct a lesson here that I think you’ll like sticking around for.”

“What’s the topic?”

Holden leans over and whispers, “How many orgasms can Thea take?”

“Call Wolfe. He’s already solved that mathematical equation.”

Finn kisses along my neck and ear, sucking the lobe in his mouth, sending tingles along my spine. “We plan to bring him in on this very soon.”

“What’s the holdup?”

“Someone dropped him in the middle of league business, so we have to wait until that’s resolved.”

I turn my head to look at Finn. “I didn’t have any other choice.”
