“Maybe because it was an empty seat that would put him dead center of the movie screen.”
“It was gonna put him next to you. He didn’t give a shit about the movie screen, and now’s he’s dead center of my bad side.” He squints. “How accurate do you think my aim is from here?”
I huff out a sigh, refusing to entertain that conversation. Finn’s just looking for an excuse to flick his blade, and I don’t want that dudes blood on my hands. “Put your psycho away, and I’ll share.”
He smiles at me, the knife vanishing just as quickly as it appeared. The last trailer plays, and I pass my flask over to Finn so he can flavor his drink. When he passes it back, I put it in the pocket of my hoodie and put my hand in my lap. He pulls it into his, linking our fingers together. A goofy smile on his face.
“What are you smiling at?” I ask, seconds before the final lights go out and the opening scene starts to play.
“I’m just happy we’re finally dating again.”
“We’re not dating.”
He pretends he didn’t hear me, tightening his grip on my hand. I’ll handle this afterwards. I settle in to watch the movie, adjusting my seat, and snuggle under my blanket, ignoring Finn, when he spreads it across his body as well. Throughout the movie, he keeps our hands together, occasionally stroking my palm or brushing his thumb against mine.
For the duration of the movie I let him breach the distance that I’ve put between us, and enjoy the feeling of our skin touching, but as soon as it’s over I refortify my walls. When the last credit rolls and the lights come back up, I shift in my seat to face him. “Finn, we’re not-”
His lips crash into mine, his hand in my hair, forcing me to tilt my head, his teeth bite at my lips, and he forces his tongue between them. I can hear the staff entering the room, the wheels of the trashcan on the carpet, but he doesn’t care. He continues to kiss me as if we’re alone in a darkened room.
His hand is under my shirt, tweaking my nipple, pulling it the way I like. I groan into his mouth. He swallows the sound, thrusting his tongue in and out, flicking it against mine the way his finger is flicking my nipple.
He’s the one who finally breaks the kiss, a smug smile on his face. He’s out of his chair, and walking down the stairs towards the exit, before I finish gathering my wits about me.

Finn
It’s no coincidence that I wound up at the same movie as Thea. I heard her telling LJ all about her evening plans, so I made the same ones. I’m not sure why she chose the show time she did, when we’d usually do the late night showing. But I rolled with it.
I was planning to respect her space, but then I noticed those idiots and how they kept looking at my girl. One finally worked up the nerve to make his move, so I had no choice but to claim the seat next to her.
She didn’t say it, but I know she was happy I did. I saw her tense up when the guy stood. She would’ve put up a good front, but she wouldn’t have been able to let her guard down enough to enjoy the movie.
Once I claimed my spot, she relaxed, and it was just like old times. Bartering over snacks and drinks, cuddling together. Me watching her face on her favorite parts. I knew she’d reject me as soon as the movie was over. I couldn’t let that happen, so I kissed her before she could tell me“we’re not dating”again.
And I’m gonna keep on kissing her until she accepts that we’re together. This morning, I’m waiting in the lobby of Vale Tower for her. She’s still eating breakfast earlier than the rest of us, but I’m okay with that. She exits the elevator and rolls her eyes when she spots me. I don’t take offense. I know she’s just pretending to be annoyed with me.
“Good Morning, Pet.”
“Is it?”
“If it’s not, then you should head back upstairs and start it over. In bed. With an orgasm.”
“Is that why you’re so chipper? You orgasmed this morning?”
“I did. In the shower, with your name on my lips, the way I do every morning.” I grab her arm, halting her movement, and press her against the wall. “I’m happy to take you back upstairs and remind you what that sounds like.”
“How about you just send the video and I’ll watch it when I’m desperate?”
“You think I won’t?”
“I think you’d never let anyone have that type of blackmail material.”
I press my hips into hers, slowly grinding against her. “It’s only blackmail if the information embarrasses you. I’d be proud for people to see and hear what you do to me.” Nipping at her jaw, I murmur, “Who needs closed doors, and acoustics? Just say the word, and I’ll give you a demonstration right now.”
“Haven’t we done this dance before?”
“We started it, but if I remember correctly, we never finished.” I slip my hand under her shirt. “Have I told you how much I hate leaving things unfinished?”
